I did some kerf cuts and bending of MDF on my Exploder install. It was a little bit of trial and error, but it turned out fine. http://www.phoenixphorum.com/viewtopic. ... 1&start=25

Re: OMG...OMG...OMG...!!!
Depending with how integrated your factory stereo is in your vehicle, an external processor may be the way to go. If it’s not that integrated, then you could go with an aftermarket option. There’s lots of great options out there and the folks at diymobileaudio can help you with recommendations. It’s...

Re: momstang rebuild begins.
I always say, “Running equipment is hard on it. Letting equipment sit is even harder on it.” It makes sense a 20+ year old alternator that has never been used before has issues. Where I work, if we take equipment such as an electric motor for a pump out of service, we set up regular preventitve main...

Re: momstang rebuild begins.
I know it sucks that your alt went, but like you said, it could have been a lot worse. With all of the modifications you have done, you were almost guaranteed something wasn‘t going to go perfectly. That’s just the way things like that go. It’s nice to see all of your progress with this project over...

Re: RSdc 10's or 12's
I have a RsdC 124 in my car and it is my favorite sounding sub. I have it in a sealed enclosure, 1.3 ft^3 and it blends extremely well with my components. I am sending it 600 Watts. I have also had two RsdC 10’s in a sealed enclosure (0.4 ft^3 each) and wasn’t able to get them to play as low as the ...

I'm not a person who enjoys flashy colors. I prefer a simple understated look and enjoy the OEM gray color.
That being said, out of your four options, I like the Fire Lights one best.

Re: zen 9 new amps ect
It’s CES 2018 and we still don’t have all of the Ti3 line out yet. I don’t understand why you would promote a product that wasn’t quite ready or in production. The Zen is included as well.

These amplifiers look great and the six channel coming soon is a good idea since everyone wants three-way active these days. Thanks for sharing on the phorum.

Re: LPL44 question
Here's a link to the newer style: http://phoenixgold.com/catalog/amplifier-accessories/remote-bass-level-control If the pots are a different value, then there would be an issue. I'm not sure what the new pot value is or what type of taper it is (linear, audio, etc...). I know the older one is 50kohm...

Are you using this on the Ti21600.5? If so, I don't think the old style LPL will work.

That engine compartment is REALLY looking good! I'm glad to see you back working on this project. With all of the added goodies you've installed on this car, there was bound to be some issues getting everything perfect. Keep up the good work.

I rotated all of the potentiometers, exercised the switches and no change. I haven't swapped the speaker outputs to see if the problem follows.

Re: ZX450 strange behavior
As of lately this issue has been getting progressively worse with my Roadster. Just about every time I shut the vehicle off and turn it on again the left tweeter is very quiet. I'm running the amplifier fully active to a set of Rsd components and RsdC subwoofer. The 500.4 section crossovers are all ...

Re: 2015 F-150 Install
After exactly one year of no subwoofers, I finally got around to building a box that fits under my backseat. I had to give up on installing my RsdC 10's. The magnet was a little too deep and the surround too tall to make it easily work. :( I purchased some Sundown SD3 10's as they have a shallower m...
