Re: AudioEngine A2+, for my desktop
Long overdue reply, nope they do not sound better than the Bachelor era monsters. The A2+ do however image better in close proximity. I am currently (and for way too long) building a small sealed sub enclosure to go with them, using the onboard sub line outs going to a pair of 70Hz FMODS and the for...

Re: Portlanders!!!!!
I know this thread is old but I haven't lurked in a looooonnnnnngggg time, let alone posted anything. As a Porkland native, I must say please give me back the reality that the show Portlandia was initially based on and take these f-tard hipsters back. Food still has a story and full bio, but if the ...

AudioEngine A2+, for my desktop
Product page Price be damned (I won a choice of new toys) I bit the bullet and picked these up in black. Let just say I am in love. These tiny little gems impressed me from the minute I started unpacking them. The packaging itself was not awe inspiring but the contents and the individual attention ...

Happy Birthday old timer.
It is a little known fact that Tom has never stared a sheep in the eye which didn't tremble with fear and run away.

Ipod input
So I have a receiver with an Ipod input that controls everything onscreen once connected, knowing that the docks just use the analog audio, would the receiver be the same?
I ultimately want to make an adapter to plug a USB thumb drive in and play music off of it, or am I on crack here?

Re: Carver HTP 9.1 Processor
Please take a pic of the front of the unit. Is it dark charcoal with blue display? If so I was present when they were looking at bring them into production on the Carver Home side, I don't think many were ever produced and I don't recall them ever actually shipping, you likely have a demo/display un...

What you don't like my intro, I warned you that i am spamming. It is safe, it is a link to register for file sharing similar to rapidshare and the like. File Share - Just Spamming
This may be old news to many, but if you need to share a file I just stumbled across a site that pays you for sharing....... yes I am spamming but I see no reason to not make a buck or 2 for doing what is already being done.

http://www.rostra.com/technical.htm Look in the Cruise control pages, at the bottom is a VSS/Tach chart. The listings are not 100% complete but a large number are present. Ok I finally got BassBox semi-working again, but it's not 100% compatible with Vista 64 so there are a few things I can't work out, like vent velocity :( Here's a comparison of the 10 in the .5 SQ sealed box, vs the 10 in the .9 SQ ported box. The orange is sealed, and the red is ported. I have sim...

1 thing I give credit to Walmart for, they closed up shop on a location that tried to unionize. No strong arming them, I thought it was priceless and well played I wish others would follow suit. Now if someone were to carefully plan some form of mass destruction at Walmarts across the nation say bla...

do not use your fingers, that is just asking for trouble. The voltage going through there can cause a nasty bite. you say it is not doing it now, is the amp warmer today than it was yesterday when you did hear the whine? metal shrinks when cold and expands when warm. So the donut may be held better ...

To cure the whine first confirm the following- with the cover off, powered on, nothing else connected. Do you hear the whine, if so take an insulated device anything non-conductive, such as a wooden chopstick or an eraser, nothing metal, now apply pressure to the big coil on the board, try to get to...
