Re: Hifonics Colossus VIII problem
I would just contact Steve Mantz (Zed Audio). He built and designed it so should be able to give you an idea.

Re: elite 12 started smoking!!
Unfortunately I believe the original ti elite is a much better sub than the new one. Almost wish they just remade the original badged as the new elites instead of what they have.

Re: Old pg boards
I have 4 XS 8" subs and every one of them has a "made in China" sticker on the back. It surprised me too. LL Subs don't suprise me as much as I don't look at PG as a subwoofer company near as much as I do an amp company. That isn't to say the they haven't made good subs but I always ...

Re: Old pg boards
Wow really suprised by the China bit. I didn't think they had any of that kind of work back in the early 90's

Old pg boards
Were the old pg boards such as the ms and m series built in house or did someone like zed oem them to pg? I was just asked this question and couldn't give a certain answer so figured I would turn to here

Re: Old school ti cosmetic cleanup
The majority of the amps I have collected are mostly just scratched. Only one or two have rust veins and they are lite at that.ttocs wrote:is there rust under the clear or just scratches?

Old school ti cosmetic cleanup
Not sure if this is the best location for this thread so feel free to move it. I recently have purchased a few old ti amps with lite scratches, etc and was wondering if they're are some good techniques to clean these up and try to keep the finish protected in the future. Any suggestions would be app...

Help ms2250 silk screening
I have a pair of 2250 nickels and am in need of someone who can put the original screening on the terminal endplates for me. Any help is appreciated in advance.

Re: Anybody have experience with 8" subs?
Quality 8's like the old tc epic 8 or soundsplinter orphan 8 are the perfect subs for passive radiators builds and can become low end monsters.

Re: elite five, elitecomps, elite12
Ya, that's pretty awake. I'm thinking of trying a new set of elite65cs to see what kind of difference there would be vs my old ti elites. Just for shits and giggles, I'm curious. Let me know when you want to try a pair. I have a set lying around here that I just didn't get to using (dyn 242's are j...

Re: Elite.5 vs TI1600.5
Can't comment on the greatness of the elite.5 but to date the elite.4 is the best sounding amp I have ever run and had power to keep up with today's stronger speakers to boot ( I run dyn 242's). Only amp I consider remotely close is the arc 4200 and I think it is mostly on floor noise and headroom.

Re: Fi Car Audio
I see the problems you are coming up with. What worries me is based on the specs of the sub it will work in as low as .5cuft for ported net but that isn't including the port space which to get to the tuning they call out in that small of box is going to be large. I just don't see the space for two o...

Re: Fi Car Audio
Have you looked into tc sounds axis small box high power handling and SQL. They don't make a 10. I could probably fit a single 12", but my amp would eat it for lunch at 2 ohm, and I'm not really into the idea of running an Elite.1 at 4 ohm. I could fit four of the Epic 10's sealed, but they wo...

Re: Fi Car Audio
Fi was started by several of the people formerly of re audio back when they made some of the best subs. They are quality subs but I do not consider any of them high sq from what say the original xxx was capable of. The q however is the best of them and can be customized to work best in certain enclo...

Re: Elite amps reliability....
I have the elite.4 and elite.1 hooked up in my daily. They get 30 minutes min everyday and I have had zero problems. The leds are a bit brighter than I wish they were is the only thing I haven't liked. Hope this simple review helps.

Re: TI2500.1 power specs?
I have one forsale but unfortunately I never benched it. I would doubt that it is overrated by listening to it though. I would venture they do at least rated but yes the 2500 is the dynamic rating not rms.

Re: Matching speakers for Elite.1 and Elite.4 amps
Unless you can upgrade the alternator I don't like the chances of the two elite amps making it far. That elite.1 will draw some serious current and no way I would run one daily without an upgraded alt like 250a or so. a battery or two would also be nice. I too myself have been looking hard into the ...
