Thanks for all the help. I reset the output voltage on the amp and the subs really came to life. The 2 12's are really hammering now and sound really tight and clear. I dont think the low notes excel as much as they do with the W7 but ive not broke the RSDc's in either. But at least they are putting...

The only thing that changed between both setups was dropping the volt output from 54.5 down to 49 due to the formula. Both sessions the sub preouts/bass/treble/balance/fade were all at zero. The difference was in the way I had to change the sub preout level. The W7 output level had to be dropped to ...

PG RSD 1200.1 output question
Hey guys I have one PG 1200.1 RSD amp. It is pushing one JL 12w7 which is 3 ohm single voice coil. Using the gain setting formula I estimated the output of the amp @ 3 ohm as 990 watts so sqrt (990 x 3) for a voltage reading across the speaker terminals of 54.5. I set up 2 dual 2 ohm RSDc 12's for t...

PG RSD 1200.1 output
Hey guys, I have a RSD 1200.1 amp and im looking to figure out how much volts I should be reading at the output terminals. I am trying to apply the formula ( sqrt of the amp power rating times ohm load) to figure it out and would like someone that knows to double check my math. Here is what I come u...

Thanks for getting back to me on the subject. Is there a way to check output with a DMM while using the different loads? And yes i'm sure my amp is limited to the laws of physics like other amps  . I'm just trying to get some advice and or information from people that have real world experienc...

m100 power ratings
Hey guys, Quick question here, I been getting alot of different numbers about the output wattage of my m100. My manual states @ 13.8v it will output 250x2 2ohm stereo, 455x1 4ohm bridge. PG's webfaq states @ 14.4v it will output 230x2 2ohm stereo, 500x1 4ohm bridge. Ampguts has it rated @ 13.8v as 2...

m100 heating up
I have one m100 pushing 2 JL 12w3v2 d4's. I have them configured as 2 ohm each and running them stereo to the amp. I have had this amp since '93 and never had any heat issues. Previously it was pushing 2 12w6's in a small sealed enclosure @ 3 ohm stereo. My m100 has not thermaled yet, but it only pl...
