If you take the rubber boot off the magnet of the Ti 10" it will come in around 5 3/4". I had a Ti 10" firing up under the seat of a Silverado Crew Cab.
I really don't think the R3 would be an upgrade for you. The SX subs are better than the R3's, but they are deeper than the Ti's.

Re: Is this elite subwoofer trash?
pg doesn't make recone kits This. The RX1100.1 isn't an expensive amp to begin with, and that one is beat to piss. The sub is $399 new, and it is damaged. I wouldn't want to be into that collection of gear for more than about $250, assuming the sub functions as it should, and assuming I would run g...

Re: can anyone help with the rane 12v conversion?
Wouldn´t it be easier to just buy a converter from 12V DC to 110V AC and implement the parts into the supply circuit of the crossover? Along the same lines, but I would just get an AC to DC inverter, run it externally, and just incorporate it into the install like a distro block or whatever. Someth...

if they were kickers and sounded good then you know they had hella power going to them. That was my only complaint about kicker is that they needed big boxes and big power to sound good. My only other complaint is that it seems anytime you hear the word kicker, it is followed by the word "comp...

Re: Should I upgrade my alternator or add a battery?
If they can't do a big 3 for you then I wouldn't let them install anything else either. It's pretty basic stuff. It should cost $50-75, certainly no more than $100.

Re: Phoenix Gold Elite.5 5 Channel
That's bizarre as hell to me. Damn near every time I have installed an amp or two without doing anything to the electrical my alternator blew at some point. It was just a matter of when. Putting the added current draw of an amp into an electrical system is far more taxing than a big 3 or second batt...

Thanks for the response and I do apologise if I am cramming up this thread, but I ask if you please bare with me through my questions as I don't have experience with these amps and doubt anyone else in my country has as it took our local distributer (South Africa) 5 days (including the weekend) to ...

Re: Phoenix Gold Elite.5 5 Channel
Does anyone know what the expected power consumption would be if I had to use 4ohm and 6ohm drivers on the front/rear channels and 3ohm driver on the sub channel? Basically I would like to know if this amp can be driven from the OEM electrical system When I had an Elite.5 in my truck I ran mine wit...

Re: The New ti21600.5
SQ wise, I doubt you'd hear a difference, so unless you need more space, and your Xenons are still working, I wouldn't mess with it. It's a good solid amp that is awesome for a class d. You could play it beside some mid level A/B amps (which is what the Xenons are imo), and it will perform comparabl...

Re: Pg warrenty
I'm going to guess that it has something to do with the LED's. When mine are pounding, with the lights off, the lights will occasionally light up a little like they are getting some power from an outside source. If they are getting some sort of power transfer from the coils, then the lights are defi...

Re: Pg warrenty
Truth be told, I was leery about buying the Elites because I was afraid of the durability. I also suspected that they had no means to repair their subs. I was looking hard at Fi BL and Fi Q subs. My Phoenix Gold dealer also pushes Memphis, so I was looking at Memphis Mojo X subs. At the end of the d...

Re: Pg warrenty
They are kind of holding you hostage on that if you can't even pay for repair/parts service. This is absolute bullshit. I can see sticking to their guns on the warranty work to protect the distributors, but if they manufacture a product they should at least offer to repair it for a fee, or in the v...

Could you put another line driver after the MS8? Has anyone ever done that?vwdude wrote:I am using the RCA outs on the ms8, but it only gives 2.6 volts of signal, not enough for the ZPAs. The sld is being used a line driver in one scenario and as a line out converter + line driver in the other.

Even if you could do it, which you may or may not be able, it would sound horrible. Your best option is to get another amp for sub duty. Even bridged, 4 channel amps really aren't suited for sub duty. They can do it, but there are more effective options available, like just about any 2 channel.

Yikes. I hope you start to get better soon. That sounds most unpleasant. Re: Ti2 15" Sub coil is black in color?
I will say that brand new Ti2 subs have some sort of glue, epoxy, or something that literally burns off after a couple weeks. Not sure if it's on the coil or not though. It does smell like burning coil when it is burning off though. Probably unrelated though......

An edge lit glass with cnc carving would look the absolute best. The glass on my previous sub enclosure was edge lit with frosting, and it looked damn good. But, I'm not convinced there is enough room there to get a thicker piece of plexi in the amp, and even if you could I know there isn't enough r...
