Re: Elite LED lighting
With the orange LED's and clear plexi, the only thing missing from the above amp is the "Team Gold" frosting on the plexi.

Re: Elite LED lighting
Phoenix Gold is accepting install pictures for their facebook page today, and it looks like someone beat us all to LED's in the Elite amps. This is an Elite.5. I do however think from looking at the pics that they swapped out the smoked plexi for clear. It looks pretty good though. Pulled from PG's ...

Re: Batteries and charging system.
The million dollar questions here is, "what subs are you going to run with it? How much power do you actually need/want?". You just built that underseat box for the two Elites. If you are just going to run a pair of dual 4 Elites, then The One at 4 ohm is still probably more power than you...

Re: Batteries and charging system.
In terms of SQ the difference between The One at 4 ohm or a pair of Elite.1's strapped at 4 ohm (5,000+ watts) will be splitting hairs. In fact I sort of think it'd be identical, even the power output. I think of The One as literally two Elite.1's strapped except that it's one ohm stable. If the Eli...

Re: Batteries and charging system.
On mine I have a 300 amp alternator and a Stinger SPP2250 feeding one Elite.1 at 1 ohm and one Elite.4, and it does it with rock steady voltage. You could obviously double that to do two Elite.1's and two Elite.4's. That set up would work for The One in place of the Elite.1's, if you ran The One at ...

You could feed that to a dual 4 sub at the same THD. You say potato, I say pototo.trickyricky wrote:If you could strap both amps for a Mono output, then you could say you have an amplifier capable of 1200watts @8ohm Who else can say they have an amplifier capable of that much power at 8ohms.

Re: Elite LED lighting
I will be putting a resister in line to tone the sub LEDs down. But I want to figure out how to wire my light to use the key fob to turn on and off. That is such a great idea. I always forget the remotes have the extra options. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Honestly I have no idea. I've never ...

Re: Elite LED lighting
Mine will be wired to my trunk lights. Yeah, that would be cool too. The lights won't be on when no one is looking at them. No one here is saying they want them to be on every time the amp powers on. Drock is doing a truck cabin install too, so I don't figure he wants his on all the time either. If...

Re: anyone ever sold an idea to a manf?
To be honest, the idea of actually putting the lights on the handle may be all you've got, and that is surely worth a shirt or hat or whatever, if they decide to make them that way. But for the "how-to" portion of the equation, it depends how involved the wiring got as to whether it's some...

Re: Elite LED lighting
To the point about this being an individual taste thing, the lights to my amps are actually externally powered, on the same circuit as the subs' lights, which is tied into my alarm. I use a button on the alarm's key fob to turn them on and off. They aren't always on when the amp is on. I wouldn't wa...

Re: ZX1200ti "Off Road" Limited Edition Amp on the Amp Dyno
There are three different test modes on the AD Dyno, RMS, Dynamic, and Burst. Burst is the most dangerous, and pointless on a full range amp as you say, but I don't see how RMS and Dynamic would hurt it considering the test runs for 15 seconds tops.

No, they are external, on the same circuit as the lights for the subs. That is tied into my alarm, and I use a button on the alarm's key fob to turn them on and off.bdub wrote:Looks great man. Are the LED's powered using the remote lead?

Re: 2012 Chevy Silverado (Full Phoenix Gold Install)
How did the amp rack turn out? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Badass, I'm well pleased with it. I think this install is finally done. I went and got the truck yesterday morning, just ahead of a snowstorm, and the weather has been bad all day, and I wanted to wait until after dark. Just got out...

Re: Elite LED lighting
When you try and take a picture of this with a camera, the flash messes it up, and it looks cheesy. So......I turned my flash off and went with a longer exposure. Might be a bit blurred, but you get a better idea of what white lights under the smoked plexi gives you. If anything, it shows you WHY th...

Re: JK Hot Rod build
It'll probably be loud as hell too won't it? The car I mean, not the system. Every hot rod I've seen had a very throaty exhaust report, which would hurt the sound of the stereo system. This is the main reason I haven't done anything to the engine/exhaust in my truck. I want it quiet.

Re: Elite LED lighting
I thought the long ends, where the transistors are mounted, was the heat sink? They are, but a good portion of the sinks extend along the bottom too. If you look at that Audio Innovations install thread with the 6 Elite amps, check out how they did their amp racks. The fans are mounted under the am...

Re: Elite LED lighting
like I said do a 7 color strip and get the best of both worlds. The way my amp racks are being done, the amps are going to be mounted on "pegs" that raises them up off the bottom about 3/4" to 1". This is to allow the heatsinks, which are on the bottom of the amps, to breathe a ...

Re: Elite LED lighting
My truck just happens to be at my installer's getting the amp racks finished up, which includes blue LED's under the amps casting what should theoretically look like a blue silhouette around the outside of the amps. They were done working on it yesterday I think, but between my job and this snowsto...
