Pretty sure that is the one I am thinking of if the lights in the center got brighter as the boost level was increased.RayBuck wrote:Pics

Re: Custom Bass Cube Remote
Seems like there is a short in the dial where it turns it on/off. Road bumps make it cut on/off sometimes, and tapping the dial can do it too. It's probably a simple soldering fix. Ever since I read where someone made one that you could tell what level the boost was from the light I have wanted one ...

Custom Bass Cube Remote
A while back someone here on the Phorum said that they had made a custom bass cube remote that the light brightened and dimmed depending on the boost level. Does anyone know who that might have been? My cube remote is going out, and I am exploring the possibility of having one made that better integ...

Re: 2012 Chevy Silverado (Full Phoenix Gold Install)
I found myself wanting new subs recently. I was looking for more SPL, and went into that on the understanding that I would lose a little SQ. I went with Digital Designs Supercharged 9500 12" subs. I figure since many regard them as the greatest SPL sub of all time, I would be hard pressed to fi...

I'm interested in opinions on the new Elites if anyone has heard them. I'm starting to shop for subs again I think.

The new tiny waterproof amps are being marketed as "powersports amplifiers". Seems these are designed for UTV's and motorcycles.

Re: basscube
fwiw I run a Tantrum style bass cube on my Elite system..........but if they made an Elite Bass Cube I'd own that instead.
Re: Re:
this amp is build for spl duties, but could u use it also in a SQ install, with way less current consumption If you talk to the "die hard SQ people", they'll offhandedly dismiss the notion of having 2,500-3,000 watts on your subs as an SQ install, regardless of how good the amp is, or eve...

Re: Understanding RMS vs Peak
But one thing I do notice is that when I play that Downlink song you sent me Kirghiz, it sounds extremely clean except for one note, all I can describe it is a "Dun - dun dun - dun". I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about. But that note I always turn down the knob a little because it...

Re: Understanding RMS vs Peak
never paid a bit of attention in the power handling #'s of my subwoofers. One of the most useless numbers on the spec sheet. Build the box right, keep the signal clean and unclipped and throw as much at them as you can. This. The published RMS power specs on subs are a "safe number" that ...

Adding the second driver and second amp should get you over 150-151 if you are at 147 now I would think.

Re: Hair tricks
Short answer......No.
You might could do it with an Elite.1 and (8) Ti2 12's, but definitely not a pair of Elites. Really, you're probably going to need a bunch of 15's.

Anything by Destroid, Excision, Downlink, Space Laces, Glockwize, TwoFold, and those sorts of artists. Dubstep music is a great place to find bass heavy tracks. A website you can go to for free downloads of dubstep tracks is www.dubstep.net. I have found tracks there, discovered artists, and then se...

Re: Help Tuning Ti21300.1 and 2 Ti212D4's @1ohm **I'm a noob
Basically what I want is to have my subs pushing 85-90% of what they can handle. You don't want to be there for a few weeks. Subs need to break in a bit before you really start pushing them. That said, what music are you playing on them? Go and download this track from somewhere (itunes or wherever...

Re: Help Tuning Ti21300.1 and 2 Ti212D4's @1ohm **I'm a noob
You are wrong. I've never had bigger than 12s, and only had sealed boxes, and I've beat out 15s in my SPL competition days. Hitting a higher number on a meter in a competition =/= rattling store windows and setting off car alarms. "Obnoxious bass" and the OP's definition of it has nothing...

Re: Help Tuning Ti21300.1 and 2 Ti212D4's @1ohm **I'm a noob
Well I guess my definition of obnoxious bass is you know that guy that drives around your subdivision with his system blasting and it shakes the windows in your house. You won't get there without at least a pair of 15's ported. A pair of twelves with enough power will be audible for a fair distance...

Re: Help Tuning Ti21300.1 and 2 Ti212D4's @1ohm **I'm a noob
Is the enclosure ported or sealed? If it's sealed you'll kill them quick trying to get "obnoxious bass". One twelve ported will feel like more bass than a pair sealed. Actually, I don't know what your definition of obnoxious bass is, but for mine you really can't get there on a pair of 12'...

They're externally powered. They're actually on the same circuit as the lights for the Elite subs. It is all wired into the vehicle's alarm so I can use the key fob to turn the lights on and off.

Re: Elite plexi lighting
Edge lighting the plexi isn't possible I don't think. There isn't enough room inside of the track that holds the plexi in place to conceal the LED's. There is only about 3/8 of an inch of space in that notch, and the plexi occupies it all. Someone may prove that wrong, but I asked several people abo...

Re: PG Ti21300.1 vs SD1300.1
All this discussion about the Elite.1.......Since you already have a Ti21300.1, I'd just get another one and run two of them rather than try and get an Elite.1. You won't be able to run a .1 at 1 ohm without upgrading alternators, and a pair of 1300.1's make more power than a .1 at 2 ohm anyway. By ...

Re: What is the best Way to rip CDs on pc
when you put the disc in the drive itunes will usually popup and ask if you want to import the cd and at the top of the window there will be a dropdown that defaults to mp3 format. you can pull down that menu and it will give options. I think it says "ALAC (Lossless Format)", or something ...

Re: What is the best Way to rip CDs on pc
First. When you burn the CD in itunes, select the Apple Lossless format. Makes a bigger file on your computer, but the quality is much better and well worth it. Second.....Get a new head unit, one that has a USB input and can play an ipod directly through the USB. What you are hearing is poor qualit...
