Funny, the adcom seems to sound best when the gain is max out. Very well designed and built amp just like the old school PGs. No noise even with high gain set

Drooling on the 4702.... Separate chassis for power supply and amp sections

I have a few of those and loved how they sound. The 4402 is just slightly shorter than MS1000TA. One of those old school amps they'd never make now

But I have no luck finding the 4702. The guts of 4702 looks gorgeous. Those 4702 are as rare as FAS ?

My MS1000TA was numbered #05085366610034 and my original MS2250 + shroud was numbered #220 825



I'm surprised that there are fewer MS1000TA here in the phorum than SOFAS. Does anyone know how many MS1000TAs were ever made ?

I got my L3 from Scott when it was launched at special price (plus his signature too :D). It was easy to drive and is able to get low (considering it is just a tiny 3"). I found it very accurate and gives out great details of the recording. And plays instruments better than my then Morel CDM54....

$230 could just buy a mint MS275. ZPA to me is the top of the line old school PG. I have seen a BNIB going for $799 a few months back. Search in the ebay for completed auction there were quite a few transactions

just curious, what is the spec ? 2 x 250 + 2 x XXX ? Seems the triplet is combining the power of 2 MS2250 into a bigger power 2 channel amp with another MS2250 on its own

0.5mH and 4uF on the Tweet (4ohm), and 0.25mH and 8uF on the woof (8ohm). Was it the other way ? 0.5mH and 4uF on woofers and 0.25mH and 8uF on tweets ? You may also consider leaving a gap on the crossover as it is a relatively shallow slope. Eg 4khz for tweets and 3khz for woofers, or even 4500/25...
