Re: M44 cap question
I did not solder in the resistors yet due to missing traces... Previous owner removed one of them and took the circuit trace with it

Re: M44 cap question
Nichicon FG, 85c only but this amp will never be driven hard ever again
Should have used KA series maybe but I like the gold look on these.

Re: zx350
They were all bulging on the top and have had a hard life. I find the Fluke to be quite accurate. I have not measured equivalent series resistance.
Previous owner said he had to have full gain on amp for satisfactory volume.

Re: M44 cap question
I went ahead and replaced everything(one 100uf not changed in picture). The blue ones were around 8000uF. Cheap replacements more like 10500ish. Might power it up this weekend. Just need to sort out the missing traces around the burned resistor area. :( http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q26/IsakAle...

Or Celestion AP or AD, they have canvas surround just like the gti. Should make a SQ ruckus

Re: What subs to go w/ old M50?
A Jbl gti 1200, or a gti 1000 would match up good to this.
Theoretically caculated spl:
gti 1200 93db/w/m @0.5m (1 3/4 cu,ft recommended)
M50 - 1x250w(ish) bridge mode
=123dB spl

The walking dead..
:P So what would be a good choice when it comes to low noise, below: 34.0 dBA ? I never push my amps for long periods of time and this zx350 will only be running a single 12" boston(high sensitivity) in bridge mode. Maybe a pair of mtx black gold 10" later on. I can´t have a leafblower rui...
Re: zx350
Just removed the four 2200uF 16v caps, only one were starting to leak. A question: how do I remove the cap rail circuit board? They have been abused and look terrible so must be changed. A few of the smaller 100uf close by were also in a bad state/cooked. There are three solder points with two pins ...

"There is a jumper denoted in my documents W101 and W201 if this jumper is connected it will bypass the crossover section effectively jumpering the signal from the input RCAs before compensation to the input of the gain circuitry at switch 101 which is your high pass low pass switch in front of...

Re: Weird question about a screw on a ZPA 0.5
Very hard to guess but maybe in a hole where it needs to be above the trace so not to ground it.

Any chance you could mark where to put the jumpers and cut the circuit trace on your picture? I wouldnt know where to bypass it without a diagram.

It were probably located at the spot where there is no mark in the gold trace.

Re: Servicing a PG 3.0X with new caps/op amps/output transis
So one has to choose either low or high pass? Maybe that is why many people arent impressed with these. Should be some way to bypass the xover since my hu does all processing/crossover and I dont need a extra 12db filter in the signal path.

Re: Servicing a PG 3.0X with new caps/op amps/output transis
The crossover on this, does it work both on amp and xover out connectors? The manual are for the first edition without the xover out and also the cutoff are different fom 30-600 on the first and 15-300hz on the white later model. Lowpass at 15hz seems a bit low

Re: Servicing a PG 3.0X with new caps/op amps/output transis
I´ve bought new caps for both of mine. New Panasonic FC for both 1000uf/50v and 1000uf/16v. The original caps had a silver/blue isolation? Can´t remember the type or model

Re: m44 caps
The M44 is coming along nicely. Changed most caps, just missing a 100uF one. I´ll leave the big ones alone for now. 3 new irfz44, green and red led´s(previous owner had removed them???) speaker and power terminal. Original were grey, could not find a grey powerterminal anywhere so changed all of the...

Yes I dont mind looking trough old threads and diggin´em up. Why not? Do every forum need a new thread about every little thing. Kind of boring looking trough 597 and 1/2 threads discussing the same.

Which type of caps did you use to replace the seven 1000uF/16v?

Re: How "NOT" to install a car amp
BIG PITA to work on these.
I got rid of Rockford Fosgate T8002, giving me headache.
Still have a 150a1, easy repair with old school clamping, and a punch 600.5 which I will try to clamp the sub channel output devices.

Re: m44 caps
Could not find 5w resistors from a usa or europeean seller on ebay so went with 180ohm 2w. Will two in parallel be sufficient or must they combined be 5w or higher? Found some nice 10w resistors with aluminum casing but then again only in 180 and they were quite large. Guess I should start a "m...

Are these prices in dutch guilder?
There is not much info on the 6.43 set, to be found. Looks like you had to purchase the crossover separatly?
