Re: phoenix gold zx 475 zx350 potentiometer replacement + ca

This was quite timely - I'm also looking for some sensitivity gain pots for ZX450 amps, but it seems there still aren't any replacements available.

Re: Chevy Silverado Owners ? Or installers ?

I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 CC (non HD) and have a pair of Orion 2NT 12's (4.75" mounting depth) subs in there = .8 cf for each sub. This required counter-sinking the mounting plate 3/4" so the subs x-max would allow movement without hitting the back of the seat, and angled the sub box do...

I always found my 0.5 sounded loose at 2 ohms, but tight at 8 ohms - so that's how I ran it with an Audio Control Matrix acting as a highend line driver. BTW it pushed 2 Orion DVC 12s.

[/quote] Tone, I am pretty sure I described it correctly, but when I get out of work, I will take a look at the cable I found that works. It has been a long time since I last looked at it, but if memory serves, with the connectors side by side and oriented the same way the order reverses in the seco...

The one I bought had the wires YGRB on one end and BRGY on the other, needless to say, the remote will not work like this. You can see the color code through the plastic plug. If you hold them end to end as if they were to plug into each other, they should both be in the same order. I think you mea...

Bass Cube Cable Wire

Does anyone know if a regular telephone cable will work for a Bass Cube remote? I recall looking at a faactory cable and noticed that when I put the ends side to side the red wires were on the same side, but a regular telephone cable has the red wire on the left side at one end and the green wire on...

I think you're right - so hopefully it gives me more of the effect of a pair of 10s firing directly against the seat (like in my old Chev regular cab that only had a pair of 10s running off one side of a ZX450 - the bass that vibrated the seat made it seem so much more powerful and the effect gave i...

If sound quality is most important I'd run modded ZPAs with balanced lines and a modded ZPX2. But... for validation purposes I'd also use an old school Soundstream Class A 100 to provide a reference point on sound quality at moderate volumes. Thats some good info! :D I decided to go with all TI amp...

I would like to put 10s under my seats like I saw in a truck once, but any speakers under the seats would not be possible due to space limitations. So I am gonna try a pair of these these bad boys with my ZPA system that has 2 12" subs already - need more bass...

Bass Shakers/Bass Engines - Are These Any Good?

Are bass shakers a good idea for car audio? It seems many people use them for their surround sound setups and I've seen a number of ads for new Aura Bass Shakers which look the same as the discontinued Alpine Bass Engines. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them?

I run a 0.5 to a pair of DVC 12" subs in stereo @ 4 ohms per side and they are chest poundingly loud, tight and deep. I also run a 0.3 to my front end with a set of 6.5 Focal KP2s and 5.5 ADS midbasses in parallel so the amp sees only 2 ohms. The 0.3 would switch into protective current handlin...
