It was a minor difference. The 250 has a bit more midbass punch and brighter highs. I preferred the overall smoother sounding tone of the M50 personally. Now I'm sure there are others that would choose the 250 over the 50. It's all subjective to how we perceive the music. Now would replacing op amps...
