Ti21300.1 paired with 13W7AE

Since I'm still somewhat new to car audio, I've been wanted to brand test other types and kinds of subwoofers and my curiousity is kind of focused on JL Audios 13W7AE to put in the back of the Tahoe. I don't want to replace my amp or anything, which is a PG Ti21300.1, but in the manual it only gives...

Ugh lol. Alright maybe I'll just take it to my usual audio shop and see what they can do haha. This stuff is so confusing. I have a whole new respect for peoe in car audio. I had no idea it would be this difficult.

Damn you're the shit dude. I ran it to the fuse box and shoved it in the ignition fuse, works like a charm now! Thanks man. I'm still playing with all the EQ and tuning and such. I'm gunna bother ya for one last thing. Haha. Everything is hooked up and sounding great, until I get to very low volume ...

Re: Help with new install - 06 Tahoe with Bose system (no su

I picked up a Sony HU today and wiring harness and antenna adapter. I'm so fail at this haha thank god I fix furniture for a living and now electronics lol. Pretty descent with wood working though. Anyways, on the wiring harness. I have all the colors matched up and I have a extra red wire that came...

Re: Help with new install - 06 Tahoe with Bose system (no su

Yeah after installing the system I decided I probably am going to replace the head unit. Now either you do installs for a living Weaklink or maybe you have a similar Tahoe personally. Whatever the case maybe, I appreciate the help you've been giving me. Now say I do replace the head unit. Do I need ...

Re: Help with new install - 06 Tahoe with Bose system (no su

Thanks for all your help Weaklink!! I got it fixed today! You were right the first time about tapping into the sub line. I just hooked into the wrong wire so that was my fault. I'm so relieved now because I started to give up hope and thought my amp went out on me or something lol. Thanks again!!

Re: Help with new install - 06 Tahoe with Bose system (no su

Ok so I went and tried what you said and now instead of getting very low volume out of them, I don't get anything. Is my factory HU different because I don't have the sub in my factory system? I did find the wires though but it seems they are dead.

Help with new install - 06 Tahoe with Bose system (no sub)

Hey PP, I just bought a mint 06 Tahoe with the Bose system in it with no subwoofer. So naturally I wanted add my system to it. Same setup as the Honda, LOC with Ti2 Bass knob. So I get it all hooked up right? But my subs are quiet as hell and don't even hit. It's almost like the factory radio is try...

Re: Understanding RMS vs Peak

This is starting to make a lot more sense now. Thanks guys, I'll look into purchasing an oscilloscope when I get paid on Friday. So on paper, how would I tune it with the oscilloscope? I'll do some more research on it and maybe watch a few YouTube videos on it. Pretty excited to see the changes in s...

Re: Understanding RMS vs Peak

Well this is basically what it did, I picked a 50Hz freq loop and disconnected the subs at the amp and put the multimeter there instead. I have a stock head unit so I'm sure that affects my system as well. But I played the 50Hz loop until I reached 34 volts. Then reconnected the subs and started pla...

Understanding RMS vs Peak

Hey PP people! So if any of you have read any of my recent posts you know I'm a car audio noob. But with a lot of self research and help from you guys I've managed to setup my ride sounding really good and tuned to perfection IMO. Anyways, I know that RMS power is continuous power and Peak power is ...

Phoenix Gold Subs and "Bass I Love You"

Okay so such a well known song in car audio brings up a question concerning Phoenix Gold subs. After doing research I found that 36hz, 34hz, 33hz, 31hz, 17hz, and 7hz are the notes in that song. I'm assuming that 17Hz is the largest excursion one I see from most subs that try to play it. While the 7...

Re: [VIDEO] Breaking in the (2) Ti212D4's on a Ti21300.1 Amp

Hahaha funny story about that. I was on my way home from work and I decided to make a quick video. I listen to most of my music on Rhapsody on my iPhone 5. So when I got back I was like "Shit, how am I going to record this and listen to music at the same time?" I had no CDs in my car excep...

Re: [VIDEO] Breaking in the (2) Ti212D4's on a Ti21300.1 Amp

Thanks! I appreciate it! I don't, it's all stock up front. I just used a PAC Line Out Converter and a bass knob, tapped into the front left speaker and just ran RCA's to the back for the amp and subs. It's Honda's "Premium" audio system, which consists of (2) tweeters and (4) 6.5" spe...

Re: Corty75 ´s New Ti Build, in a Ford Mondeo Daily driver

This is really nice bro!! Those Ti2 subs have to fill the cabin real nice because you don't a trunk to go through like I do. Sometimes I ride around with the back seats folded down though. Great install man!! Oh and my buddy found a pair of Kenwood 6.5s at Best Buy for $30 for stock systems at 30wat...

Re: My first self install!!

Ok so I have the first LED tied into the license plate light that's above the amp, so when I unlock or lock the doors, they flash twice and also when I have the parking lights or headlights on, they also stay on. The second LED is above the box which is tied into the trunk light, I took the yellow l...

Re: My first self install!!

Ok so I got the box mounted down now, thanks for that. I didn't even think about theft, the way the trunk is I know it wasn't going to go anywhere but making sure it doesn't get stolen is pretty paramount so good call. Yesterday I installed some LED light in the trunk to kind of light it up a little...

Sealed vs Ported Boxes

I went to an installer yesterday because mine doesn't make custom boxes. He told me that I should be running a Sealed box because of my trunk. Unless my seats are folded down in the back then I could do a ported box. I'm currently running a ported box with I believe 3.0 cu feet. So what exactly is t...

Hair tricks

So exactly what does it take to do a hair trick? I'm pretty sure that I don't have what it takes with my Ti2 setup but do you think a couple of Elite.12d's have enough power to do it? That's my next planned upgrade is an Elite.1 and a couple Elite.12d4's when I get around to saving enough cash for i...
