Re: Ti21600.5

Did it yesterday, it was easier than i thought, i realised with a dmm that the two bus bars have continuity between them lol so was pointless seperating them. One annoyance i have is that i realised the two screws on the power terminal have been over tightened by whoever buikt it! I was just checkin...

Re: Ti21600.5

Right i think i'll give it a go tonight, so theres no need to undo the screws that hold the terminals to the plate? Just undo the 4 main bolts on each side?

I mean the terminal blocks i know they scre into the plate but is that plate actually supporting them? Just curious so i dont damage the amp if i tighten the power wiring...

Re: Ti21600.5

If I just want to remove plexi, do I need to remove the screws of the terminals? Or just the 4 main body screws?

Re: Ti21600.5 clipping lights test tones and dmm

I did more testing and have come to the conclusion that if either the front or rear left inputs are muted or see a low signal the amp stays on the low vvoltage rail but when either the front or rear left rca sees enough signal amp jumps into high voltage rail. I realised this when i remembered the a...

Re: Ti21600.5

Drock quick question, have you noticed how the bus bars in your pics look like they are touching? Mine also bend in a similar way but there is maybe 1-2mm gap, is it safe if they do touch?

Re: Elite.65cs experiences?

Nice tidy build! Amps have dual power supply? They seem on axis i could mount them at that angle no problem will have to modify my apillars which currently run focal mirange and tweeters but i blew a midrange by accident so time break some fibre glass!

Re: Elite.65cs experiences?

Good replies, my doors are deadened and sealed and i will run active (contrary to phoenix golds manual that basically says good luck trying to get them to sound as good active as they do passive) and run off ti21600.5 and 80prs. What position is best for tweeters? Im going to have to glass them into...

Re: Ti21600.5 clipping lights test tones and dmm

Right ive summed it up been doing more testing, both front and rear channels if you just connect the right channels even with gain maxed you wont get more than 18-19volts and the clipping light is on. With just left channel connected the left channel gets upto 28volts plus and it clips at around 27 ...

Re: Ti21600.5 clipping lights test tones and dmm

Thanks for your info, yeh music makes sense dont listen to tones lol. I guess im paranoid, but because the clip light went of earlier when just the right channel was connected with the 1khz tone does that mean the right channel is actually clipping way before the left channel? The clip lightdoesnt f...

Re: Ti21600.5 clipping lights test tones and dmm

It is a basic dmm, clipping lights are fine now it was with just the right rca connected it would show clipping earlier, that was the main point of the post dmm was just to give me a slight idea of where im at hence using the 40hz tone aswel as that i would expect to be ok on a meter designed for uk...
