Re: Bridging ZX/Ti amps and RCA inputs
Yes, you need to use a "Y" cable. In the case of the ZX450, a pair of them. If you don't, only one channel will be doing any work. I was always surprised PG did not have a switch to use just one input. After all, their crossovers were some of the most complex and fully functional, integra...

Re: Bridging ZX/Ti amps and RCA inputs
its been so long since I had one in front of me that I can't recall for sure but I seem to remember always running a pair to them even when bridged. thanks for reply, I guess it wouldn't hurt to run Y splitters so all inputs are used, I know some amps don't like just the one input being used and ne...

Bridging ZX/Ti amps and RCA inputs
Hi, I'm running a ZX450 bridged, do I need to run both left and right RCA cables into each channel or just a single RCA (left only?), the manual doesn't really say much on this subject..

Marko, long time no speak. Would be good to get listen one day. Great kit, good to see your back. If your ever moving on the 2250's let me know (probably be massive money but hey) Hope your good. I'm good thanks, hope you're OK too, don't post much on here these days but still check in and still ve...

Re: MS2250 + MS1000 cooling solutions?
I saw somewhere someone got some itty bitty o-rings like you would find on injectors or something, and then put those under the plexi. the problem is they are only held in with 2 very small screws so not very secure, I wonder if I could make a single thicker plexi to cover both amps? I could have a...

Re: MS2250 + MS1000 cooling solutions?
Focals sound amazing with the servo sub, only thing letting it down is the plexi covers vibrate on the amps! not sure how to fix this? maybe some Tesa tape on the amps? I decided to remove the wiring bridge as it was too restrictive and this has helped air flow, also managed to get one of the fan bo...

no idea but there's hardly any room between sink and build, similar to if I was running OE shroud.ttocs wrote:does it need to be mounted to the amps heat sink or just in the exhaust portion of the air flow to get the temp?

Re: MS2250 + MS1000 cooling solutions?
I'm back on this again as the fan control units in the ms2250 amps will not power the Stinger fan! bit disapointed as now I'm back to square one!! they are very noisey too which could be an issue.. something like the below could work, but where the hell do I mount it? must need to be near the sink t...

Re: MS2250 + MS1000 cooling solutions?
I ditched this idea in the end as it was just not effective enough, went with the Stinger cross flow fan. I made a cover to go over it so the I could rest the wiring on it, this was my best option! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y172/19mark70/car%20audio/20171223_163233_zpsubzhgrhp.jpg http://i5.p...

Re: MS2250 + MS1000 cooling solutions?
more updates! managed to buy 2x Stinger cross flow fans, the 8" ones, they are surprisingly compact and fit right in front of amp where I wanted to put one in the first place. bery effective and only need one. my next question is, how does the fan control in OE ms2250 work? does it give a varia...

Re: MS2250 + MS1000 cooling solutions?
tried a similar set up to how Eric had it, bought 3x 80x80x10mm fans but they were next to useless, maybe a rubbish fan but they hardly moved any air! pics below show the channels I routed out to allow air flow under amp board (10mm deep approx) I also ordered an 8" cross flow fan but when the ...

MS2250 + MS1000 cooling solutions?
Hi all, long time no post but I've started a new install and come accross a small problem! I'm wanting to mount 2 ms2250 end to end (same as an ms1000 would be) and obviously can't use my shrouds. I'm struggling to find a suitable fan(s) that can fit snuggly and compactly under the terminals, cross ...

Re: Anyone a ZPX2 crossover expert?
zpx2 has balanced capability, deal for zpa amps, adjustable pots for cross over frequencies (only symmetrical though). ax406a has "asymmetrical" cross over points sub to mid so more flexible perhaps, also has LPL control.

Re: ZX1200ti "Off Road" Limited Edition Amp on the Amp Dyno
The only reason I devalue amps with caps changed is the countless amps I get to fix with caps poorly replaced, and boards damaged. I would prefer leaking caps any day over damaged boards and messy solder jobs. that is perfectly understandable, I have have also seen some real horror pictures on this...

Re: ZX1200ti "Off Road" Limited Edition Amp on the Amp Dyno
I think very few people would consider an LE amp devalued by having the input caps swapped out, but each to their own I guess :). IMO if the caps are carefully chosen to match the original ones as close as possible in size/color/appearance then it need not be an issue. Mark. PS- Hifonics Colossus do...

Re: Bridged v Stereo for SQ
I have always been curious about the Adcoms and the hype that comes with them especially the ones with separate power supplies, shame they are out of my league price wise..
out of all the amps I've owned both past and present my favourite sounding ones are still my Soundstream REF 10.0 and Picasso.

Re: Bridged v Stereo for SQ
using a pair of amps bridged does give you better channel separation though
M100 is a fine sounding amp though, you would not be disappointed with one of them on your front end!

Re: Install V3...95' Honda Civic...Updated 11 Jan 2014 w\vid
incredible, I think this will be one of the greatest builds ever created when finished, the attention to detail is 2nd to none, for such a comlex system it all looks extremely well laid out and obviously a lot of thought went into planning to pull it off.

in that case I would buy a class D amp if sound quality was a low priority and big numbers was all I wanted!
