When I finally do my install at the end of May, I'll be running them actively off of a Cadence Daytona DCA4100 and Coustic XM6... so we'll see ;)

The silicone won't crack. Doens`t hurt to go over the edges with it, so use and abuse it! When you have 1200w on a RSdC, yes you will need crews , glue, silicone, BRACES!!!! and some more screwssssss! That's false. The screws are unnecessary if the box is wood glue and proper clamping is used durin...

Screws? We don't need no stinking screws! :)

As long as you used glue, the screws are unnecessary to begin with, so definitely don't add more and mess up the seal of the glue

Total length of 30", yes, which means each port needs to be 15" long.

No, the length it gives you for port length is the length of EACH port.

If each of your ports are about 7.5" long, for a total length of 15", then it's tuned ~45Hz

When airspace is listed in WinISD, it is referring to the NET airspace, i.e. after all sub and port displacements.

Is that .42 before or after the .09 for sub displacement?

I think you're right, Voltron II was the cars, and are a little easier to find, the originals are getting really tough.

I remember both series, ranked right up there with Transformers and Thundercats ;)

Airspace for RSdC 10 sealed

Has anybody had a chance to try the RSdC 10 out sealed yet? I've got 2 coming Friday and want to build a quick box to tide me over for a while... I was thinking of doing somewhere between .8 and 1.0cf total for the 2, and then play with polyfill a bit... any thoughts? Power will ultimately be 800w t...

So I know 1.2-1.8cf = good sealed for the 12's, though not listed in the manual that way...

How about for the RSdC 10's?

^^ That's the option my paypal account likes the most too :)

I'm sure that would still get loud enough for daily with 1600w on them.... the 10's should be able to take 800w daily, right?

Alright, I sold the RSd's because I'm, well, impatient :) So, now the question remains, wait for the RSdC 124's to get back in stock, or buy a pair of 104's now (800w each), or buy 3 102's now (~450w each) All setups will be sealed.... As much as I don't want to wait I'm leaning on waiting for the 1...

haha right now these 12's and my RSd comps are my only PG gear, I've owned a few amps over the years, as mentioned the M50 was my 1st amp ever.... but that's about it. Always loved the stuff, but spent a lot of time trying to get "louder", only to realize that I never turned it up anywhere...

Just for curiosities sake (and the fact that they're actually in stock), how about 3 RSdC 10's instead of a pair of the 12's? Should be a similar cone area, but 3 motors > 2 motors.... They would only see about 450w each though (1300-1400 total) because of the weird coil wiring, but I like 3-sub set...

That's what I figured...... I may get impatient and just get the 10's since they're still in stock. Audiosavings won't have any more of the 12" D4 for 3 weeks at least :(

Thanks for the response! I'm definitely going to at least try the RSd's out (once it's not 15 degrees outside anymore).... Would love to try the 10's out though too, so I'll be anxiously awaiting your review on those.... For some reason I've been shying away from 10's, I guess trying to convince mys...

RSd or wait for RSdC

Hey guys, first post here! Some of you might recognize me from ca .com, caraudiojunkyard, etc., but I haven't posted here yet.... but now that I'm back in the Phoenix Gold family (first amp was a M50, back when it first came out) I figured it was a good place to be :) I have a pair of 12" RSd's...
