I got that a couple months ago.. Ive ordered from Digikey like 15 times in the past yr, mostly for caps and resistors & fets. Im ok with what I paid lol
Re: Mq 430
Whats up, long time no see! hope all is well! Ive used the panasonic FC series caps for inputs, 16v 8200uf @ 105c, Look for the brand 'Epcos' caps for the rails as the panasonic TSHA snap-ins are now obsolete..

Re: Look what i got today ZPA
Stick with 16V on the B+ input caps.. no need for 25v caps as the B+ will never get that high and youll lose some capacitance as it wont be near operating voltages.. Panasonic FC 16V 8200uf @ 105c are what ive used on my zpa's. 8200uf is a bit overkill anything over 2200uf will work great.

Re: PG Amplifier Gain Testing Experiment
Excellent info Eric! As with running balanced, 1 advantage is the higher the V the better S+N.. I think my outputs are 15v or up to, havent measured it, Denon Z1. There seems to be a difference when I have run rca's vs the balanced. 4v vs 15v.. I had modded the nt's to accept rca's before I ran bala...

If everything goes all right, im going to install them in a couple of my unicorn's that use to220's. Im hell ben...

Are you upgrading the PS Fet's? IFRZ48's work great and the irf3205's have a super high amp rating on them so the duty cycle they will see will keep them from ever stressing..

One of the best dead head Alpines is the 7995.. I use a Denon Z1 and I havent looked back. It was installed in place of my drz9255 Clarion, while I likes the functions it had the Z1 blew it away.. But it is way better than a Alpine, save for the 7990 F1

Re: Original FETs on ZPA0.5 v2?
Can anyone else hear a difference? I too have played with OG Mac's and I found the sound of a ZPA more desirable.. It definitely has more power, gob's of it. With it's discrete op-amp less design it's a purist amp.
