with my current sub and box i tried every way i could come up with and to the side works best with this setup.

build whatever is easier and cheaper. i just see no point to having 2 chambers as opposed to one other than the extra bracing the box would obviously have.

ok so little update. i now have the mids crossed from 80hz/18db up to 2k/24db. i now have the tweeters crossed at 2.5k/24db. YES, 2.5K!

somebody needs to make an amp that does 200 @ 4 ohms on 2 channels, 100 @ 4 ohms on another 2 channels and then somewhere around 500-750 x1 @ 4 ohms for a sub. price it around $500-$750 and that would be the perfect amp for me. active front with staggered outputs, and then a decent sized sub channel...

that came off the sub or the amp? from your post it sounds like you said it came from the sub.
