Re: A little ZX600Ti mod...

The zx600 is ±40Vdc primary rails, the same as the 475/500.4. Your auxiliary drive rails should be closer to ±10V referred to the primary rails. If you are only at ±2V, the amp will run but it won't be able to hit full output power because it won't be able to swing the outputs rail to rail.

Re: ZX475ti amplifier

If some of the steering LEDs are out, they are either faulty, which often happens with these I finally found the actual problem, it was caused by two of the RED LED lights were defective, I had some in stock and replaced them, one per each channel affected, and the Bias was back again and able to b...

Re: Resistor Value

I assume this is in reference to your other question, R935 on the power supply daughter card is 681R. This resistor is the current limit for the Opto-isolator which mutes the poweramp. If it's faulty all channels will be muted, not two. See my reply to your other post explaining the likely fault con...

Re: Schematic

PG never publicly released any schematics but a few still made it out into the wild. AAMP bought the name and all the IP, so you can ask if they will share. All of the top tier PG poweramps are essentially the same just scaled for different power levels. The ZX, zxti, and ti line are very similar wi...

Re: Ti600.2 Customs for a client

It all very much depends on what mosfets you choose. There isn't a super simple answer to this question. If you use the fairly popular irf3205, then you should use gate resistors of somewhere around 30R. In the case of a ti500.4 the 33R gate resistors will be fine with irf3205s. Not all PG amps have...

Re: ZX475ti amplifier

If some of the steering LEDs are out, they are either faulty, which often happens with these, or you will have open fusible resistors in those channels. Normally in either case the output will not only be low, but also distorted. There are fusible resistors scattered throughout every PG amp. They wi...

It sounds like your question is about a kenwood head unit, it has little to do with the amp. You should probably reach out to customer service wherever you bought the gear from. It's difficult to even understand your question...

Re: Who needs a bass cube knob?

I just ordered more parts yesterday. You can email me from the email link on the phorum here. It's the best way to get me quickly.

I was on vacation the last week of March through last week. I'll be back at the shop tomorrow.

1N5400.

Any standard 3a rectifier with a >50V rating will work fine though. Their only job is to go short circuit when reverse polarity is applied. Kind of the opposite of a fuse to ensure the actual fuse does go open

Re: PG M50 Where to find PS rectifier specs

If you tried to test the rectifiers in circuit they will always appear shorted. They cannot be tested in circuit as the transformer windings are directly across them. Out of hundred, I can count on one hand the number of PG amps I've had with shorted power supply rectifiers. It almost never happens ...

Looking for a replacement capacitor for my zx450 Its 2200uf 16v 105deg C measures approx 18mm x 35mm You need to replace all the stock Panasonic caps in the power supply, not just one. They leak and will eventually cause the amp to catch fire. Other than that, any general purpose low esr cap will w...

Re: Titanium 800.1 Cuts out in Hot Weather

Iirc the polyswitch thermal sensors are designed to switch at 110° C. Obviously the interior of your car and amp should never be getting hot enough to boil water, sun or no sun. I expect that you still have something going on. In regards to your previous post, there are no transistors involved with ...

Re: PG Titanium 800.1 Stuck in Thermal Protection

I've never seen a bad thermal sensor on any of these. It uses several ptc polyswitches as thermal sensors. I'd still bet on the trace under the rca connector. It's far more rare and unlikely, but it could be a failing comparator which is used to supervise and trigger the different fault conditions. ...
