Phoenix Gold Elite.5 Sub Section GIAN setting
Hey Guy's looking for feedback from current Elite.5 owner/dealer/installers on the sub section gain settings. What position on the gain you are set at to get the woofer excited? I'm not a bass head but I have to set my gain dial @ 12 O'clock to excite my JL 12W3-2 woofer. The signal is coming from a...

Re: Phoenix Gold Elite.5 5 Channel
I don't think this elite.5 amp will ever need a fan. I dont know if I will ever get my elite.4 fan to come on. Only one side of both amps has the little heat I mention above. The other side of the amps were at ambient temperature. The heatsink fins are below the circuit board. Take a look >>> http:/...

On the remote, does that have a disconnect on the back of it or is it hard-wired out of it?
YES! RJ22 connector amp & remote.

Re: Phoenix Gold Elite.5 5 Channel
Just keep in mind, its a 5 channel amp. And a very good sq amp at that. Take advantage of the power available. A good dv4 or dv2 sub is not that expensive. As far as running a single 4 ohm sub, i don't think many people would run a setup like that anyway. It was built to run optimally at 2 or 1 ohm...

Re: Phoenix Gold Elite.5 5 Channel
Not what I wanted to hear... :? Cheer up. It is better with a 2ohms sub connected! The amp is without a doubt an ES CUE /SQ amplifier. It is as good, if not better than my Audison Voce AV5.1K. Unlike the Audison, the PG elites goes about is business with a whole lot less heat ! Morgan or Eric D can...

I can tell you right now its on the weak side with a 4ohms sub! I currently have a JL12w3v3-4 connected. I will update later today if I can get a 12w3v3-2 locally.

Re: Phoenix Gold Elite.5 5 Channel
For all intents and purposes, it's really 2 amps. A 400 watt 4 channel Class A/B, and an 1100 watt mono class D. Couple that with the ridiculous SQ specs this thing has, it is hands down the best 5 channel on the planet, on paper at least. I was never a fan of five channel amps because usually they...

Re: Phoenix Gold Elite.5 5 Channel
Morgan any reasons why Nichicon, Panasonic or Elna caps were not implemented in the elite amps?
The only brand part in the elite amps I would question is the CapXcon condensers. This from my PC building days http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=39119.

I am here, just VERY busy at the moment working on new products for 2013. We have 12 new amplifiers and 9 new speakers/subs! Sit tight more news to come. I understand! I was surprised that you did not give any teaser on this amp. Anyway, I am happy to see an elite 5 channel amp. I plan on getting o...

So is this 5 channel amp available? Other than this thread I can't find any info on them. It is available! Look on the flyer, says shipping 1st week of December. Re: morgan
No offense to the new PG, but what I don't understand is the pricing.. Why have $1200+ amps powering $450 splits and $450 sub? To me, those won't scream "Elite" and available only to those who want a higher range than the current Ti's which down here (Australia) have the $450 pricetag (bo...

Re: Elite Sneak Peek
Eric, I understand this about the Elite series. But keep in mind what I said about newer vehicles & people not willing to give up space. They may be willing to pay the price for an Elite but want a one amp solution. There is also those of us who runs a full 3 way front active + rear fill & s...

Re: Elite Sneak Peek
I will disagree. I would have to say that my Audison LRx5.1k is the perfect all in one SQ machine. So a 5ch SQ amp can be made, the 5.1k is proof. I just want the PG name back in my ride/s. And for me, space is a factor, but SQ in the goal. If space is a factor, but SQ is the goal, you have to comp...
