I've had 2 430's in the past both had loose wires on the torroids... looks like you have a lifted pad where the power supply fet's were replaced, but the pads aren't on the contact side of the board so it doesn't matter anyway... all of the 430's i've seen look like they were slapped together by a f...

you lifted the pad on this side of the board that's why the solder didn't flow like it should. good news is that the electrical connection isn't on this side of the board, it is on the top side. just make sure the solder flow looks good on the top side and you will be fine... a bit of rubbing acohol...

high output alternators put out less current at idle, than a stock alternator. that's just how it works.... if you want more power you're gonna need to get the rpm's up, another battery will just load down the alternator more, but it will help with voltage drop below 12.8V. when I had my ms2250 wire...

i've been doing car audio a long time, and I like to think it's a much better outlet than lots of other choices, so i help out when i can. I haven't kept up with products much in the last 5 or so years so I can't help at all with equipment choices anymore :? But I still remember how a power supply w...

i wouldn't think that those 4 diodes would be connected to the rails, there are rectifiers next to the power supply fets for that... maybe they supply a secondary voltage somewhere else in the amp but there is obvisouly something wrong downstream of pin 10 though, it should be a mirror of the circui...

the 494 is the pwm that fires the fet's, probally turns on the amp as well... those two resistors might be tied to pins 9 and 10 which would be the outputs the way it looks. i'm not sure what the comparator would do, probally supply the inputs of the pwm according to the rail voltage, so maybe it's ...

Mine is a 96' legacy L, it's looks exactly like yours except the color.... I ran an optima red top, and the HO alt came from Ohio Generator.. When i put the amps in the wheel well I did have a bank of fans on one end and a vent on the other... difference between a sedan and wagon, length! you should...

Carl, I can't really help you in choosing your setup, because I really don't know anything about the new stuff on the market, but I can tell you anything you wanna know about installing in that car... First things first, you're gonna squat the ass end so bad that any wheel/tire combo that fills the ...
