Re: Black MQ430?
Back then if you wanted it pink with purple stripes they would do it. I have often wondered how much they charged for custom options now as I wish they would do it again now that I can afford to have it done. Pg charged me exactly 100 bucks to have an eq230 done in the franked theme to match my fas...

Re: because I'm never happy Audison bit one and ten daisy ch
There's actually a bunch of bi-ampable passive out there. I just got a set MB Quart MUSIcomps, I think many others exist too. Lots of higher end components are capable. Utopias are of course the cream of the crop. Focal has new line thats supposedly better, but I can only imagine the cost. Id reall...

Chiapet, if you are a tuner and tweeker like me, do it... I would love to fiddle to get it to sound correctly for weeks than just install and be done, esp if it is going to ultimately sound better. That Audison is a BAD ASS unit, I in fact am buying one to integrate into my BMW i drive nav sy...

Re: because I'm never happy Audison bit one and ten daisy ch
It will work if you can tell the Bit one that the output going to the input on the bit 10 is a straight through or fullpas signal... Ive done it with 2 AX406s before, I ran the rear channel on the first one with no chip, or as a full range passthrough signal to the input of the second 406 and used i...

looks like you already have it all under control Matt ... don't see what I would change, can't go wrong with Utopia's ... I just won her some more 4 inch Utopias on bay, because the 5s wont fit well. also scored a set of 5 inch Utopias bnib. So I guess we will run the 4s in front and back. E...

Glad to see itchy is taking care of em.
Itchy, if you get bored of them, I better be your first call to get them back.
If no one knows, I bought these like 8 years ago... kept them in the box in my closet for almost 6 years un touched...

Re: The m100 that started an addiction
Oilworker, that is an incredible story, makes sense it was stolen since he lived near you... I got lucky as hell one time, had a huge pg sticker on my back window, came home from a trip and my trunk was open in front of my house... i ran to the car thinkin someone stole my Frankenstein amp, and low ...

Re: The m100 that started an addiction
My first PG AMP I got was in 92 or 93 , I was dating a girl after high school and her mom( which is my mother in law now ) bought me the MS250 I had been looking at but couldn't afford. I was so grateful for that. After that I bought the M series and also played around with some Orion's , but PG wa...

Re: The m100 that started an addiction
great story! Mine was sorta the same, EXCEPT my dad made bank in the 90s, and dropped about 12k on his Porsche in 1992 for the Alpine DigiMax system which was an early 90s version of F1. His car sounded un-damn-real, and well he wanted me to have some tunes too. The place that did it was in Fremont,...

Re: 2 devices with 1 lpl?
Bryan, I think this will work, BUT LPLs are so cheap, why not use 2, one for the sub and one for the mid bass? that way you cana dial it in how you want it? i assume you dont want to just use the gain on the amp to dial it in, since you said you wanted to adjust it up front? do you not have an eq i...

Re: 2 devices with 1 lpl?
Correct me if am wrong but the LPL44 is only a boost at a certain fhz (40hz?) not for the mid range fhz. Now if your trying to control the low fhz on the mids then yes the LPL will work but its really a BOOST instead of an attenuator. Also if you have a 4ch amplifier and you have a set of ch set on...

Re: new install, confused why amp flickers
Eric, I thought so at first, but the problem is the voltage. Today when I started the car the voltage was almost a volt higher (13.9 today vs 13.0 last night), and it got to 32 before shutting off on the volume setting vs last night it was struggling to hit 28... The lights on the headunit and the a...

new install, confused why amp flickers
ti 500.4, running 2 ohm stereo to 2 6.5 mid woofers from 80-400 hz bandpass, and the rears bridged 3 ohm mono to an old 12w6. when it starts to sound good, the speakers sound stressed and the amp starts to flicker (red leds inside and blue trileds...). wtf? Its got constant 13-13.4 volts with car on...

Re: zero point zx600ti
ZX600ti and Ti600.2 are essentially the exact same amplifier. I think PG was a bit confused how they wanted to approach the naming. They were the early Ti amps which came just after the popular ZX. Later it seemed they just dropped the ZX for the simpler Titanium naming strategy. he's talking about...

Re: zero point zx600ti
What are the differences between the zero point zx600ti and others that are not zero point?? Purely speculation, but my best friend who used to be an installer told me that the ZP boards were left over from the ZPAs... and that it had similar architecture to the ZPAs... I dunno if its true but my Z...

they are damn good. when they are working....one of the most advanced amps pg ever made, even the ti's. (ti's were never thought to be too reliable, but still more so than the xenons) shit, guess ive been lucky Ive never ever had a problem with my Tis or Xenons... my damn ZPAs catch fire or thermal...

Re: BEST AiNet Alpine headunit...
I am partial to the 7939 myself. Might run one someday. Lots harder to find than the 7949. Especially in good shape. The 7939 is my era, I got into car audio in the mid 90s... I had a 7807 and 7824 that sorta looked like a blend of that radio... The 7939/49 is designed to work with the PRA-H400 whi...

7949 was the best alpine i ever owned I just found one of those, 7909/Clarion 9255 good? Its sorta ugly but if it sounds good, thats what matters! Im going through hell trying to rebuild my dad's Porsche system from the early 90s. It has a 1310 commander with a 5959S changer (that is jammed), and a 3681 time delay processor. We havent heard a system in a car that sounds as good. We arent sure what sounds good, but the combo of all the parts so...
