I actually kept coming back to this unit...I'd find something else that caught my attention, but always ended up back at the Premier...pretty much for the reasons you outline Greg.

I was looking for something with decent specs and a classy look.

Thanks Guys!!

Would you happen to know if the Sapphire series uses the same input caps? A buddy of mine has been running his 3.0x and a couple 1.0's since he got them back in 1997 (probably a good idea to replace his too) and I'm thinking I could order new caps for him at the same time I order mine.

Capacitor Replacement

OK...so being paranoid about leaking caps, I finally took a good look at the 2 MS275's I've purchased over the last couple months. One looks as if the caps have been replaced already (3 nice Nichicon 16V, 5600uF reside on the board as per DrFosgate Spec)...the other is still sporting the factory 16V...

Bought a TLD66 off Brandon.
It arrived beautifully packaged and in fantastic condition. It took some time to arrive, but he warned me he was busy, apologized for the delay, and was very good to deal with.

I'll happily deal with him again (and I hope to)

Thanks guys! Fuzzy .. that's right in line with what I was thinking. I may have to bug you if and when that happens. Z .. that device looks like an inexpensive way to get some analog recordings to my computer. The site says 'good for recording' does that mean it comes with some form of recording so...

Obviuosly I'm no computer guru .. but when I hear 'sound card' I think of the open circuit board thingy that plugs into a tower's extra slots. I assume there are USB type? And are they housed in something? Run on USB power or 120v? I would like to know more about this subject for my own needs. I ha...

Just a matter of finding Mac drivers for whichever card you choose
OS X drivers for pro level sound hardware is pretty standard these days ;)
True enough...I just have had little luck finding Mac drivers for the one I have.

I'm using a Turtle Beach Roadie (now the SRM) as an external sound card on my laptop to hook it up to my home system...can't see why it wouldn't work in a car too. The Roadie (SRM) is nice cause you can output in 7.1 analog or SPDIF and input either an analog or SPDIF signal as well. I always wanted...

Thanks SMG... Funny part is, as part of my repair I put HS onto the leads of the sub that didn't have it. I assumed that the one's with HS from factory were V2's as well, but thanks for helping to confirm that. The TS parameters for the V1 and the V2 are different and I just want to build boxes to s...

I believe the fear of damage isn't from sending less power to the subs, but rather from sending a clipped signal to them by over-driving the amp

There isn't a vehicle I owned that my ex-wife didn't fuck up somehow... scratches, dents, knocked-off bumpers, blown tires (and the fender damage that comes from that), torn under-skirting and smashed ground effects. And she usually just found humour in the damage done and my reaction to it!! Sigh.....

Having spent 7 years working in Plumbing and HVAC wholesale, all I'd suggest is making sure you have it sized professionally based on your present furnace size, and a heat-loss/heat-gain calculation. Too large of a unit will "freeze up" the coil and over-tax the furnace... too small, and t...

So a quick trip to the hardware store and a bit of fun-with-inhalants should have me up and running?

PartsExpress has a specific glue for attaching surrounds to baskets, but at $20 shipped, a locally available alternate would be much preferred!!
