Well... not only do I have a pair of 200.4's... I am now the owner of a pair of 1200.1's. Nothing like having a backup amp for your front stage and subs.

Why did PG quit using the Xenon amp technology? It seems like it was by far their best stuff.

I believe Maka told me his went out in less than 4 hours, or something like that... it was fairly quick. His other one has been running a bit longer and is doing okay thus far. Maybe it was just the one.

Yeah... we were looking at the Hi-Energy in the board today and it might fit with some modification. It may be one of my better choices.

I may end up just getting a better tweeter like I really want and forming a pod around it with bondo... or maybe do some fiberglassing.

Thanks stipud! Yes... I will be using the Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 for the processing and crossover. I has 12db and 24db options. I'll probably check out the Seas and even the ScanSpeak. I am also considering a Dynaudio driver that is pretty beefy, but also ain't so cheap. For the tweeters, I ain't...

Thanks for keeping me/us posted... I appreciate it. Welp... new plans. I traded my 08 Sonata in on an 09 Sonata today. Crazy ain't the right word, much worse I know. What I am astounded at is the front soundstage of the sound system. Everything looks pretty much the same, other than it's a nav syste...

Okay... yeah, I sent Maka a PM as well. Maybe he will respond. I did purchase the SquareTrade warranty at the time of purchase, it wasn't but 25 bucks, so I figured why not. It may just pay off to have it. The same guy that sold Maka and me has sold about 10-12 of these. I emailed a couple of other ...

I guess it ain't working. I sent 3 PM's and none of them show up in my Sentbox. Oh well... I'll just ask you here. I noticed you purchased two of the 200.4's from the guy in Houston. Were both bad... and were you able to get warranty or replacement? Thanks!

The guy that has the CSS in his Jeep is going to run a response sweep using Room EQ Wizard, which will give us a glance at real world response. He tuned his to 27Hz. I'll post it once he does it. I have been looking at Morel Hybrid Ovation 6, which retail for about a grand, but I can pick them up fo...

I think I will try the CSS SDX10 to start with. I got one of those for free from one of our sponsors at the Shack... may as well try it. It models very well ported. Plus, the one I heard is in a smaller box and it sounded every bit as good as my Xenon 10d2's... maybe better. Here's what it looks lik...

I went ahead and snagged a couple of the Xenon 200.4 amps for $249 each off eBay. The guy only had 3 left... now 1. Plus I got me the SquareTrade 3 year extended warranty for $24. I got an extra amp just cause I could... figured I may do something stupid later on... or if one fails, I will have a ba...

I threw a few subs in the mix just to see what would happen... it seems hard to find something that is going to extend as low as the pair of 10d2's in 2.2^ft sealed. However, the single RSdC124 comes the closest thus far.

You know I tried 2 Xenon 12's and they just did not do anything for me. I ended up giving them away and went back to the 10's. Maybe I had something haywire with them. Obviously the RSdC's are not that way. I might be able to squeeze a pair of 12's in there since I'm gonna have to give up another 2&...

I agree the Hertz are amazing... I fell in love with them when I heard them, but my pocket book did not. I heard the High Energy Series in the listening room and could not discern much difference between them and Mille's while in the board, but did not hear the High Energy in an install. They are $6...

Some of you may remember my last install in my former 06 Sonata. I plan on doing something similar in my 08 Sonata, but I have been without for about a year now... even out of the loop the latest car audio goods. I plan on keeping my factory headunit with the XM and 6 disc changer in play... using a...

Recommendations for new install...

Hey guys... been awhile... actually since Sound Buggy, but I did manage to find you. You can run, but you cannot hide.

I am ready for another install... the fun begins!

I suppose we just never grow out of this.
