Absolutely true there Tricky. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for.
Thanks again for taking the time out to respond to my question
Have a good one,

Re: Ground Speaker Terminal Problems on Amp
Ty Tricky. CH1 is starting to do the same thing, but not nearly as bad or as frequent. I'm thinking of just junking the amp and buying a different one at this point.

Re: Ground Speaker Terminal Problems on Amp
Hey Tricky, I also tried to bridge the speaker by using ch2(-) and ch1(+) and it exhibited the same problem. When using ch1 only it's fine. Ch3, Ch4 is fine as far as I can tell/hear. I've basically done all I can think of to try and isolate it to the CH2. I may have said ch1 was bad at first, but i...

Re: Ground Speaker Terminal Problems on Amp
Hey Tricky, Yeah that's the amp. CH2 negative speaker terminal is having the issue. Thanks, Kevin PS: Oh yeah, I did notice that. Yeah I switched out rca's, different speakers, put different speakers and the same speakers on ch1, ch2, ch3, ch4, had the rca's completely disconnected from the amp also...

Ground Speaker Terminal Problems on Amp
Hi, Need to get some general advice on what to look for. Here is what's happening and it's the amplifier (-) speaker terminal causing the issue. When hooking any speaker up to CH1 it emits a loud static noise and plays 2-3x times as loud as it should be playing. This will eventually go away, but the...

Re: PG EQ 215X
That's one reason I just used the aux to go to my ax406a so I could control it there. I had to sell my 2125 and 2240 awhile back (both were mint) too so now I have a 500.4 and the 2500. 2500 for the subs and 500.4 for horns and midbass/midrange. The CD1E v1's are a peizo driver so it naturally roll...

True. That was my first thought on ordering or building the ones I need. Then I thought about bypassing and letting the 500.4 do it instead.trickyricky wrote:If needed, you can always change out the Rnetworks...

Re: PG EQ 215X
Thanks Zeropoint. I looked in the manual and it really didn't say anything about what freq the LP/HP used if connecting it directly to an amp. I'm probably over complicating this anyway, but if it would just dish out a full signal then I could control the x-over on the other amp and be set.

PG EQ 215X
Got a small question. The R-Nets in my ax406A are 70, 90, 425 if I recall correctly. The R-Net in the 215X is a 90. If I use the HP Output on the 215X to connect to an amplifier that has a 24db built in x-over will it be full signal going to the amp? I need to cross the horns around 1000 or so and r...

What do you get when you get a lot/bunch of likes? I never understood Facebook, main reason why i don't use it. Hey trickyricky, Basically just means your "post" has a chance to reach more people which in turn gets your name out there for more people to see your work. I don't have a perso...

Sounds good. Now time to either build some custom rnets or see if digi key or mouser has some already built close to the feq I need.

Re: Soundstream rubicon
Havoc, a good friend of mine has one. He's pushing 2 JL 12w7 in a sealed box. Honesly I cannot sit in his SUV very long when it turns it up. He's had his for probably 2 years or so I guess and still going strong.

Hey,
What are your thoughts on a bottom end x-over point on a 406a. The speakers are a 6.5 IDQ's. Right now i've got them at 80hz and was thinking about going down to 65-70hz to see how they sounded. They range from 40hz to 425 I believe.
Thanks

Re: MP3's degraded SQ???
If you're going to use MP3's then rip them at a constant 320kbits. Don't know if any players can actually play flac or ape, but it would be nice though. I can tell a difference between 128 vs 320 for sure, but from cda to 320kbit not really.

That's nice. I would love to have some 8's in the kick, but I'd need to do some serios modding though.

Re: 8s up front!!!
Goobs,
I know a guy that had a pair of cd2 horns up front, 8 IDQ's in the kick panel and 2 15IDW's IB in a beretta. The SQ was amazing to say the least.

Re: Phoenix Gold MPS-2240
From what i've seen and observed Eric is spot on.
I've got a mps2240 also, but will need to get it fixed sometime in the future. Green light just keeps blinking and doesn't put any power out.
Overall I love the mps and ms series amps. They look plain but have a wonderful sound to them.

Re: eq215x settings
Thanks Todd. Usually do it by ear so it takes quite a while. I guess that i'll need to see what the x-over freq are in the 215 to see if my midbass drivers can accomodate or not. If it's 50-250 or somewhere in between then i'm good. Not sure about going full range on the midbass though. thanks, kevin

eq215x settings
Hey all, Been sometime since i've been here, but glad to see I sitll have my account. I still have all of my pg stuff, but i'm a little rusty on a few of the settings on the EQ. Is it ideal to use my 2125 and 2500 with just the eq215x to power my idq 6.5 midbass drivers and horns. No subs at this po...

RSDc Install
Havoc wanted me to post a few pics of his new RSDc's that he got last week. They are not broken in yet, but you can really tell they have some real potential though They were built using the 1.25 rec sealed box enclosure.
