Re: running 4 batteries and a POWERGRID???
Red tops ARE a starting battery.... one up front and either a yellow or blue top in the back. I agree with a few others as there is alot better options than Optima.... That being said they aren't horrible by any means in my experience with them. GL

Ok, so you bought a sub from a non authorized dealer off fleabay...whether he was at some time is irrelevant. It's not covered by any warranty at all because you bought it from a non authorized person. You should have known this when you bought it. I personally would have researched whether any sort...

Re: what would do... with a sofas
You said the sub was rated at 200rms not 1k also what car. I want loud and older style The old Fosgate stuff was stupidly underrated. I knew a guy back in the day that had a pair of Punch Series 1 15's running off of a Punch 200, and those subs were only supposed to take about 200 rms. I kind of th...

Re: Elite.65cs versus HAT Imagine
I get great mid bass from my MTX blue thunders, circa 1992 with about 120 watts RMS. If needing 3 sets of a supposed top line speaker to achieve acceptable mid bass.... well I would say that would be dissappointing no matter what manufacturer. It has alot to do with the setup/enclosure and lots of o...

Re: How you guys liking the amp dyno?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTR0dgWNFtg www.oldschoolstereo.com He does tons of tests, this amp dyno is something that was developed by Steve Meade and D'more engineering. I think it's fairly new, kinda like clamping an amp for output power but this device makes it much easier. Big d (derrick) is...

Re: How you guys liking the amp dyno?
I love my RF's, minty 200 and 4080. Plus the Punch pro 12's that came along with them. I've read they easily do 3x the rated power. They don't kill my wimpy alternator either even at 2ohm mono.
They also did not require any cap change baloney.....

You can also plug in an LPL sub control to the port on on 215iX. it's a small knob that you can mount up front for continously variable sub volume.
fairly inexpensive...$40ish

Re: REALLY HELP!!! Setting up ZX series amplifiers crossover
Don't misunderstand me... I didn't mean to be harsh sounding, that being said it sounds like alot to digest equipment wise...
I beleive it can be done, but with the sheer amount of equipment the noise floor will be hard to keep low.
where there is a will there is a way

Re: REALLY HELP!!! Setting up ZX series amplifiers crossover
I'm sorry but all this equipment and you don't know how to set up the X-overs....  I haven't looked in depth at the diagrams you posted but not being able to EQ the subs in a waste, it helps so much in smooth transistion of sound from mid bass to sub. Do not let this get you try out so...
