Re: Question about Xenon 600.1
I think you have your series parallel ideas confused. Puttin them in parallel would drop them to 1 ohm and in series would add the impedences. if you threw in a 3rd sub wired the same way you would net a 3 ohm load, drop the power out of the amp as well as split it between an additional sub. Not su...

Question about Xenon 600.1
I currently am running a 600.1 pushing two Xenon 10d2 subs in sealed enclosures. I have a 3rd 10d2 sitting around and was wondering if the amp had enough power to push 3. Would anyone know if this is a good/bad idea? The current set up is the subs are wired in series to create 1 ohm loads and then w...

Re: Xenon 600.1 load question
Looks a little more complicated than I care to get. As I've been running a 2 ohm load on the amp for the last 4.5 years with no problems...3 ohms shouldn't give me any problems. If anything, slightly more stable than 4 ohms. I appreciate all the feedback. Once the weather is better on a more consist...

Re: Xenon 600.1 load question
exactly what I stated in my original post...I was just clarifying to the person that wanted to know how I came up with the numbers I quoted. If each sub is wired as 4 ohms individually and then wired in series to the amp...that's a 12 ohm load. I just wanted to know the X600.1 would handle that or w...

Re: Xenon 600.1 load question
Well...I went to the web site the12volt.com and I plugged in the info. If I wire each sub in series to make it a 4 ohm sub (each is a dual 2 ohm sub) then if you wire them together in parallel...it creates a 12 ohm load. I've always known that parallel wiring divides the impedance and series increas...

Re: Xenon 600.1 load question
Thanks for the feedback. That's what I was thinking, but I just wanted to make sure I was on the right path.

Xenon 600.1 load question
I bought the Xenon 600.1 because it's ability to produce the same amount of power regardless of the load. However, all the literature states this to be the case for loads between 1 & 4 ohms. What about 12 ohms? I'm curious because currently...I have 2 Xenon 10D2's hooked up to it for an overall ...

the last two installs i've had that amp involved in...one the amp was sunk into the top of the enclosure... http://www.carspace.com/allmet33/Albums/audiosystem/IMAG0004.JPG/photo/v./photo.jpg and the current set up that has it on a board that's attached to the backside of the enclosure... http://www...

combo sub/amp enclosure
ok...i'm getting some ideas together for my new trunk installation. my idea is...to build a unit where the subs are firing downward and i would lift them high enough that amp could be mounted under them at an angle that would display the amp. the way the whole thing would be designed, one would not ...

well...initially, i was running the signal to the amp off the signal coming from the OEM amp in the car (dumb move, I know). so i was asking for trouble there. that was before i was able to put in the aftermarket hu. however, once i got that in and ran rca's back to the amp...i don't know what i was...

fellas, i have another question for you... will the xenon 600.1 put out enough power to run 2 RSdC 102's??? history on this amp...initially i was trying to run a single sub set up and i fried about 5 subs. The first sub fried was a Xenon 10D2 (PG tech told me it could handle the amp). for giggles, I...

Oh no...the current box I have is sealed and each sub is sitting in .75 cu. ft. I was just wondering what it would do if the RSdC's were in 1 cu. ft. or maybe even 1.25 cu. ft. I spoke with the PG tech once and he said if I put the Xenons in 1.25 cu. ft....they would hit lower, but I was worried tha...

You're absolutely right on that. When I have the subs crossed off at 63 Hz (available setting on HU), they sound SWEEEEET!!! At 80 Hz, they don't sound bad and it probably doesn't help that I haven't put any sound deadening material in the car yet either. For the most part the subs do a good job of ...

yeah...i definitely love the low end capability of the Xenons, and you're right about about some songs seemingly not having that punch. Currently, I've got my sound stage set with the fronts cut off at 80 Hz (hi) and the subs cut off at 80 Hz (low). My rear speakers are cut off at 100 Hz (hi). The s...
