Re: Isolator question

A Relay would work easier as you have ahot side and a cold side for isolation. If you check the PG manual for the Isolator it says that when the engine is not running the centre pin will have 0V, so I cannot simply connect the exsisiting cable to the isolator as the front electrics will then have no...

Re: Isolator question

It also says that the wire from alty goes to centre pin on Isolator, this does not have power when the car is not running. The ECU and Starter are all connected to the same wire that runs from front to back at the moment, these cannot have no power when the car is not running. So you have to take on...

Re: Isolator question

if I mount the Isolator in the front of the car, I need 1 run to primary battery and one to aux battery (2 runs) Alty -----Isolator =========> battery 1 and 2 , I can tap off primary battery terminal on isolator for starter and electrics. its the same circuit If I mount isolator in the back of the c...

Re: 900.7 Users

Found the issue, I had the lower right hand side vent covered by cables, this seems to be where the most amount of heat sits on the amp. Once I moved the cables away the amp cooled down.

Re: 900.7 Users

Ok , some more information, unplugged all the RCA's except the ones running to my mid/tweeter pod. This is a 4in an tweeter on a passive ADS , the big old school passives, amp is still heating up . No other RCA's are in so the amp cannot be outputting anything on there. Does the centre pick up a spe...

Re: 900.7 Users

Fans are sucking air in, blowing out via the centre and side vents.

Its a seriously good sounding amp , I am just wondering if the bias gains have not been tempered with.

900.7 Users

Hey Guys So I finally got my 900.7 installed. Everything running at a stock 4 ohm load , getting signal from a MS8 . All of the gains are at approx 1/2 which is 2V as defined. Problem being the amp is getting hot and going into protection after 30 - 40 mins. the fans are working as they should but t...

Static on speakers

So today I decided I had enough of the TIDEQ and fixed it properly into the car, no more moving about and stuff, however I always had an issue with one side and it having supression when I hit a bump , so checked cables grounded properly and it seems to be gone. However I have a new problem I have s...

Re: MS-8 Know how

Simple , Set up the fronts as 1 way and the same for the rear, HP both sets depenging where you want the x-over points to be, for volume , you can always set the gains lower on the amps and turn them up after setup is complete if you feel you are loosing volume, remember the autosetup on the MS-8 wi...

Xenon amps and Line drivers

Here is a question, I have a few guys who have said the same thing. In fact the first place I read about it was on here. So why is it that Xenon amps need so much line voltage before they come alive, surely thats what gains are there for , but even with this I find they do not perform as they should...
