Re: Any of you guys familiar with windows 2008?

Yes, it is the server edition. I needed to use it rather than a standard edition due to using 4 physical procesors per computer. I have set the permissions to everyone, but it was still being a pain in the ass. I have taken some time off from trying to figure it out, but now that I am in a permanent...

Building a new sub, and need some help

Now that I am moving into my own home, I am planning my basement setup. I have the front/center/rear speakers, but I need a new sub to replace my cheap one. My concern is that I have a very large rectangle room to fill (15x35x8 ceiling). Currently I have a xenon and xmax (both 12's) with a bash 500 ...

you should be able to just ground that wire. I doubt car manufacturers changed the way their parking break works, so you should be fine. Pretty easy to test it out anyway.

Any of you guys familiar with windows 2008?

So Im setting up my render farm and struggling with the new operating systems. If I were on all XP, this wouldnt be an issue. Anyway, I have a desktop that I am using as the main unit. It has a hard drive that I need to share (map) throughout the network. The desktop is running windows 7. I have a w...

basically it comes down to material. Bss cube is a booster on a certain freq (spread across a specified bandwidth) where an epicenter will reproduce what it assumes is thecorrect notes. This apparently comes in handy with older recorded material (think classic rock) that does not have the bottom end...

Yeah, that will be fine. Make sure you have a good electrical system though. I ran mine at 2 ohm for a while, although it wasnt up too high. Being class A/B, it wants a lot of juice.

Put them in an enclosure. Front wave is the 'wave; coming off the front of the cone, rear is the 'wave' produced from the back (into the door). When you put them in an enclosure, you will not have the backwave reflecting back into the front.

LEDs are powered by the music. no music=no energy. Loud music = more energy= LED's on. Put on a bass heavy song, adn the will pulsate to the beat.

For some reason I thought that on the 5's, jumper in meant +3 but on the 6 out was -3. (those may be backwards, so you should test it out)

I will be using vray for Rhino and Flamingo Nxt. Both programs have a DR Spawner to distribute the rendering. So it should be no problems. From what I understand, you just slap in an IP and it should find that on the system.

nope, no GPU needed. I have a decent one in my desktop, but that just helps the view ports mesh faster when moving the camera. The render engine is purely based on CPU power. It seems as though most people are going with the 5600 series. Im not looking for a ton of power, just something I can add re...

computer build question

Im doing some really heavy rendering projects coming up soon. I currently only have a desktop with i7/8gig ram. I would like to start a render farm for this project. The render engine I use is highly processor dependant. The moe processors, the more render buckets I get. So really all I need are som...

Those new graphics looks great. Looking at just the artwork it is hard to tell, but I think the original stroke width on that line is good. How does the new one compare to the old one? I also agree with Shaheen in that the font may be a bit large. The words start to blend with one another, so I keep...

This may sound silly, but could you have the signal coming from the X/O and it is turned down so low it isnt passing anything through? Try it on bypass more so it should be getting the full signal

What exactly are you planning to run speaker wise? Its pretty easy if you are running a full passive component set. You will only be able to run a single RCA line back, so plan on losing any "sub" controls on you deck. Run the RCA to the front stage amp. Set it at high pass at 60, and have...

The RSD is a very good amp. To be honest, in a car environment I doubt you will be able to tell any difference between the ZX and RSD. You should check out some of Eric's reviws, as they are some of the most comprehensive and un-biased you will ever find. The 450 is one of my favorite amps, because ...
