I had my 1000.2 at 2 ohm for a little bit, and it didnt seem to mind much. Never went into protect, and it kept pushing my subs to their limits. Also, my birthsheet was 1192 watts at 4 ohm, so expect more than 'just' 1000 watts. I wouldnt have any problem running either amp for sub duty.

Tough is a good way to put it. I have beat on mine, and they never let me down. Come to think of it, I have never had to buy any other subs. I still own the original ones that I had from 2000 (which I got used). Granted, now it is sitting in box in storage, but still. I had it on an XS2500, a ZX500,...

The problem with using doors is that they are fairly short. You can practically drop the ball in the other side.

On another note, your neighbors must hate you.

Sounds like you will have a good build going there. Money has prohibited me from starting on my build. I was thinking of going with a q6600, but I think Im just going to save some more and get an i5. I used to game quite a bit, but now my computer will mostly be for rendering with v-ray or NXT. Now ...

How do you like the Parasound? I was originally going to go with Emotiva, but didnt hear great things about them lately (could be because I was hearing it from people running BAT and pASS LABS). I have been eyeballing the HCA's because I cant afford the Halos. Im also considering a Rotel 1095 as well.

I would say I do about $65 or so a week. I would say I spend about $35 or so in gas, and the rest on food. I have been saving money lately because of some large purchases, so excessive spending has been cut out. I just had to buy an engagement ring, and also some new Ref 2's for my front speakers. I...

450 bridged to fronts, rears on deck, 500 for sub. What sort of processing were you planning on using? Using the 450/500 combo, you only have to run 1 line back, and using the 450 signal output, you get a perfect exchange between the sub and fronts.

I miss my 500, 500, 450 setup :(

I really thought they seemed a little tough on the highs. To me they were sharp, kinda like a hard dome tweeter. The mids were buttery smooth though, with a perfect transition between the lows and highs. There are several female vocalist that are a must on those. The stage width was also very good. ...

The only 6 channel you will find in that size will be the octane 5.1. They are pretty rare though. I have one (and it fits perfectly), but it is pretty weak. Ever since I switched, I have been wantin to go back to the 450/1000.2 Is there a reason for the 6 channel? You could probably just use the he...

You may want to look into the ti elites then. They are very smooth, but they lack in midbass. If you can find the 9's, its a difficult set to beat.

If anyone wants to send me a rough sketch with the dimensions, I will mock it up. Although, they look very similar to the zx/ti series terminals. Are they same? If that is the case I can start building the 3d file after New Years.

Also, what terminals in specific do you want?

a garage i visited last week

I was on the way back toward detroit, when a friend called and said "you have to come over and head to this guys garage with me". So I went, and it was the most fantastic thing I had ever seen. It was a warehouse in Brighton, and no one would have any guess as to what was inside. It is a p...

I havent heard the 850's, but they 750's were very nice. You would think that with only 5.25" they would play very low, but I was surprised. I think the biggest difference you will notice is in the highs. The logans seemed kinda harsh up top, almost tinny. The Rockets were very smooth. I can on...
