Re: MP3's degraded SQ???

I can most definately tell a difference between mp3's of ANY quality and original CD quality if I know the song.

Cymbals get muddied and tinny, and bass is lackluster.

But it seems to be the way music is headed FTW, so get used to it.

Yeah, the main thing with PCs is to unload all the garbage software installed by the Manufacturer. It's always useless bloatware with 30 things all set to startup at every login with stupid ugly GUIs. If you've got a vanilla copy of Windows (or Linux!) install that right away and live happily. Ravens!! I like the way you think !!! I'm a huge Ravens fan ! I'll be heading down to the game in Tennessee this weekend , hoping for 2-0 . Ravens !!! Booooooooo. Hopefully the rain will level the playing field. But then again, our receivers can't catch shit and a wet ball won't make it any better....

He said in his opening comment that it would be mainly for web surfing and the whatnot. From that projected load, any descent mid-line $400 - $500 laptop will be more than sufficient. My laptop was $500 and it does web, music, videos (up to 720p), and everything else wonderfully as long as I'm not t...

I use an Acer that I've had for 2 years now and runs just as good as the day I got it.

Proper maintenance is always required for any computer to remain reliable and fast.

We have wikipedia, why not wikicaraudio? Same setup, people add things and they require citation, and people can run through a dispute process with articles. Might take off just as much as some of the other large wiki style offshoots. Great way to sift out the bullshit. And, if it got noticed, mayb...

That's what I was going to say. These are one of those rare sub's that don't change the freq range just because of the size. 10's, 12's whatever. They are low end monsters.

I know it doesn't really mesh with your all Xenon setup, but swap your comp's with RSd's and your setup will be golden.

Great subs with more low end than you could ever want. 600 watts to each sub is a good amount to feed them

For my musical taste sealed works like a champ. Nice and tight for rock and whatnot but still get really low when I'm listening to rap or techno.

Re: PG Xmax on 200 rms?

I run an XMax 12 off my X100.4 bridged on the back channels, so 200 watts RMS. I have it in a sealed box with net .95 cubic foot. Sounds great in my car and I usually have to turn it down when my wife and daughter get in the car.

Now I turn my volume low when pulling into anywhere because I don't want people to be eyeballing my ride thinking I've got something to steal!

I 2nd everything Brain has said. While most people will say your amps are crappy I'd say as long as you're not trying to get more from them than what they can give they will sound like every other class A/B amp out there.
