Re: Small multi-chn amps

I am about to buy an SD 5 ch. as well. Probably the 800.5. I just need to punch my dealer in the throat first. :) He said he would make me a deal on it for $499!!! Clown shoe!

SD 5 channel sub channel at 1.33 ohms?

Looking hard at either the 800.5 or 1300.5. I would love to run the 3 RF 2nd gen. Audiophile subs I have. But I am thinking that 3 4 ohm subs might be too much for these amps. I am not a basshead, but I like it loud. What do you think? Just run 2 and save one in case? Or just run the 2 Exile XT10s I...

Re: Daily driver system

I have always thought that the EQ215x/EQ215ix were one of the most useful processors ever made. A 2/3 oct. stereo EQ with a good xover section and LPL port. Brilliant product! :)

Re: review of the sd600.1 PAS mag

Power rating are overrated anyway. I am willing to bet that there are not many people who would be able to tell a difference if their amp made 500 watts or 800 watts. Even maybe 1000.

Re: Will ceiling speakers worth well enough for rear surroun

You will be perfectly fine with the ceiling speaks. Your "guess" on their position is right on. It looks like that should put them around 2' away from the side and rear walls? That is a good thing to avoid reflective surfaces too close to the speakers. Hopefully your seating can end up in ...

Re: SD800.5

The manual actually states that the remote sub level remote is included with the 600.1 and 800.5. I imagine it is just a different design or pinout than the LPL44.

Re: First owned PG product?

A set of .75 meter RCAs. The sexiest sapphire blue ZeroPoint Musical Reference II with silver ends. Bought them from a friend who is a recording engineer and also a PG "dealer". I still have that set of RCAs in use in my TV setup. :)

Re: mq-430

Awesome amp! I ran my whole system off one and it was great! Do not let the power ratings deceive you. It has plenty of power for a modest system. I could play as loud as I needed to with no signs of strain or stress from the amp or speakers.

Re: Help hooking my PG Ti 600.2 to a single Alpine Type R!

The bass boost could have easily caused the amp to draw enough current to blow a fuse and/or heat up enough to thermal. I am not sure, but I am guessing PG's bass boost is centered at 45Hz....seems to be the industry norm. Remember that it takes DOUBLE the power for every 3dB increase in SPL. Let us...

Re: I Series Amplifier

I think Eric is on to something. If you just made the amp standalone, and had different harnesses available to adapt it to lots of different vehicles, you would be able to sell a ton of them. Also, this would allow someone to buy and amp, use it in their car, sell that car, keep the amp, and put it ...

x2. This is what Morgan was hinting at months ago and here it is. Are the "front/rear" channels bridgeable? MSRP? :)

Re: New Phorum Software

Another "difference" is that Firefox does not open links in new tabs from the new phorum. With the old one, any link would open in a new tab....not that I cannot get used to it but not sure if it is something that is changeable. :)

I do not like the look. I need a "darker" "theme". Will "themes" be supported in the future? There were several options with the old phorum.

Rusty terminals....

What do you guys use to clean rust off of speaker and crossover terminals? There is not a ton of it, but I do not like looking at it. Is Brasso still the stuff to use? WD40?

Budget system coming together very nicely!

Well this has been a long process....but waiting for good deals to pop up has paid off again. I just won a set of Exile XT65 comps for $77 shipped. I posted in august about winning a pair of Exile XT10 in a nice enclosure. I also have a nice Kenwood HU to control my Keg. Just need an amp and wiring ...

I am waiting for CES to see what is coming. Morgan hinted at an S series 5 or 6 channel....which would be ideal for me. :) I would love to run the Ti amps but too much $$ for me right now.
