I have been following them from a distance now for a little while. I have spoken to the owner and he has a different attitude that hopefully alot of the industry will take on. Reminds me of the old PG days to tell you the truth. His stuff costs more, and is worth more, you got a good deal for sure.....

I would not worry about grounding the rca's unless you have noise that you can't get rid of.

it also sounds as though you might have the gain on the TLD a little high if you have your amp gain turned down so low. Try re-adjusting them so that the amps gain is doing a little more work.

we need to isolate the noise and figure out if it is comming before or after the TLD. Disconnect the input to the TLD and see if you still have it. Try adjusting the gain up to see if it is real faint.

this sounds very very strange to me which would leave me to ask about the old electronics stand-by, have you checked your grounds? Look inside the DD and maybe tighten up the mounting/grounding screws and see if anything changes.

the cut was made with a jigsaw, it wasn't pretty enough to do something like that.

an amp meter would tell us if it is too much current. Remember that it needs to be wired in series rather then in parallel like when we measure voltage.
