its not in all that great of shape. It has some small rust spots on the cover, but the plexi and internals(the important stuff) looks almost new. I had considered either painting or polishing the cover to take care of the rust spots but it could also be re-brushed as there is no paint on the cover. ...

I have an old TI series ground dist block. It is shaped like a TI amp and has 2 - 0 awg inputs and 6 - 4 awg outputs. I am not using it and could part with it. I can post pics if you are interested.

herts is not a mass market company and they keep very good records of their products. With that being said you can check with them and see if it comes up clean but if you don't and you do get it you need to be aware that those numbers can be tracked. We all want good stuff for a good deal but what g...

the schematic between the 3 will probably show very little difference as it is not like they have added or subt componants, only moved them around a little on the board.

I too am a visual learner but I do have an degree in electronics and some experience to back me up.

The impedence of the cross-over is determined by the speakers, and that determins the freq. By basically disecting the cross-over and seperating the inputs you need to be carefull that you do not change the over all setup of the cross-over circuit as by simply adding or subtracing a wire you could c...

hertz has a VERY active process to keep track of their goods and they can probalby track those numbers to their orinal owners. I could check if you want but that seems like a great way to buy some bad carma man. The only people I hate worse then theives is the people that knowingly buy the stolen st...

the sem stuff works ok depending on the grain of the texture. I had problems matching the texture in my mustang and came up with my own way that has held up nicely. All you need is sprayable high-build primer and saw dust. Give a good coating of the primer, and then sprinkle the saw dust on top of i...

I would think that it would be hard because the x-over uses the impedence of the speakers to dictate the x-over freqs. If you start to try and take the x-over apart and move the speakers in the schematic I would think that it would also change the impedence and then the freqs and mess everything up....

I remember the board on mine said 4201. I took some pics with my phone that I will try to load later. my resistor was to the right and I was able to look inside the leds to see that they were backwards from yours. all the boards make their contacts via the mounting screws and they can arrange them a...

you should find the PG logos and use them as a mask before you paint it. Then when you peel the mask off the lettering will be in gold which would not be overly tacky.

again I thank you as if it were not for your pics I would have been on the phone with a place I know that could have done the repair. While I have a degree in electronics I have always tried to stay away from the repair tech side as the little bit I have done has just never been fun.

the DD-5 will be up infront of my truck above the glove box. In 97 the passenger side airbag was an options package I didn't buy so I have a blank spot there just perfect for this. I am not concerned with the paint looking EXACTLY the same as the amp since it will not be right next to it. I know som...

octane CF paint

I have a DD-5 on its way and I was thinking it would be cool if I could paint it to match my octane. Anyone done this before? I saw a show once where they quickly showed how they did it with some kind of matt the layed on it but that is as much as I know.

I only have an 8 amp power supply that I normally use to charge my rc airplane batteries and was worried that the caps charging could take more then that. I figured it was fuse protected and couldn't wait anyway, they took almost 15 secs to light up but yes when they did the living room never looked...

the shipment was delayed 2 days due to the weather but they came in today. I was amazed how many screws they used to hold the top on, and 4 different types made it fun to organize to put bach together. A nice long strip of 4" wide masking tape made it easy though and I was able to get all the s...
