73-89 K5 Blazer 2WD a.k.a. CHONG

This project will be for me.It will progress slowly as Cheech is more of a priority.

Will probably go with new or newer Phoenix gear in this project.

Any suggestions ideas are appreciated.

My biggest question is really to 'WALL' or not to 'WALL' it off.

Re: 86 S10 Blazer a.k.a. CHEECH

We bought this after he seen pics my 86 2wd. He fell in love with it. Mine had the 2.8 5speed 2tone blue on white. I had 4-15"vega XL-D's tuned to 30hz on an Autotek BTS 7150. Man I miss that truck!

Re: 86 S10 Blazer a.k.a. CHEECH

Thats a clean Blazer. A good start to your project. The only thing i would address is that mondo ground clearance issue  I love the clear rear side windows. My bro has been searching for 6 years for a set for his Jimmy. I am not sure if they were available in Canada. LL I dropped the rear 4 in...

Been gathering up everything to get that alternator installed and do the big3 upgrade.

Also got my midbass and a circle jig in from partsexpress.

I chose the Dayton reference series 8's.

I think its a great idea.I like it. You could add a fan on each end to help with cooling.

Re: Feeding a Beast

I think you can keep your existing alternator in the mix. As long as it works. It works. Even if you have 3 new alternators built the same way. All 3 can put out the same, but I doubt all 3 would put out the 'exact' same all the way through the rpm range. All alternators matching would look cooler an...

whodathunk the strokes and metallica are not known as SQ bands/albums? Thats probably why I listened to Death Magnetic once and then threw it in a drawer. just sounded like White noise to me. After watching/listening to that video,it makes more sense to me now why my sons cds sound so noisy and it ...

Re: Monday is over @ E3 thought on xbox one or PS4?

I initially bought the XBOX 360 Elite, and an external fan, first. The PS3 didnt have many games yet and I wanted to check out Forza. The Elite was supposed to handle the heat better than the regular 360. Not the case,my son plays anywhere from 2-16hrs at a time. The Elite lasted 1yr. I then got a PS3 ...

Thanks Scott. Do you think bondo would work? I'm thinking the plastic weld to attach the two pieces, and then bondo to shape the bezel. Yes Bondo will work for filling. I prefer Evercoat Gold its alot easier to work and sand and doesnt shrink as much. Its more expensive so if your not planning to do...

You could just undo the headliner and let it down. Leaving it in the truck and work around it. Even if you couldnt get 100% coverage it would still be better than 0%.

I agree with thump. Ive built 4 different bandpass boxes over the years. 3 4th order and 1 6th.To do it correctly you really need to test the TS parameters of the actual speaker used and meticuously measure every cubic inch of everything in your calculations. In my 6th order box even 1.5 cubic inche...

Tempered glass is also fairly impact resistant on the surface its the edges of tempered glass that you have to be careful with. I accidently dropped a piece of 3/4" hardwood about 3feet long a couple months ago in a cabin i was working on. It fell over an upstairs banister rail and hit a temper...

What about 2 of those 'big amps' 6ft wide.4ft for center 1ft angled panel on each side.separated by a 6ft flat panel for a total of 18ft.the mids could be mounted on the inner 2 angled panels. That would give 6ft or so of separation on the left and right mids.

Re: going to give my loud pedal a loud button!

I was talking about how most smaller NOS systems use a switch to cut on at WOT. I thought it would be cool to have both the cutouts and the NOS activate at WOT. Of course an manually operated switch would allow you to open cutouts at idle and put around town rattlind the windows and setting off alar...
