Re: zen 9 new amps ect

Surprisingly enough, I have a local PG dealer, with no product to display. I understand as no one new to the hobby where I'm from knows of PG, but he just got an update price sheet a few weeks ago. I did see on it where it stated the Zen9 was listed as for sale at $2750 MSRP and only (100) or more, ...

Re: What are the "goto" facebook groups now?

For me, FB is for family, friends, car audio and music. That's it. That's almost to much in itself some days.

Thanks for clearing that up Eric D, which now the D stands for Dick, lolol.
I've tried looking you up, no wonder I haven't found you. I can respect that.

PAS review of the PG Ti2 800.1

Based off of this review, I pulled the proverbial trigger and grabbed a used one. I hope it doesn't let me down. It'll be replacing an Audiopipe APMI-1500. On paper it's the more powerful amp, but on the bench? I think it still does its rated 1500w at 1 ohm, but I wanted to go back to PG. http://www...

Re: Enclosure size confusion

Also note, that back in those days PG was notorious for skewing their numbers, getting them crossed. I think that's the case here. Typically a smaller enclosure will be your SPL and a larger one for musical. I'm willing to bet those got crossed. Polyfill mostly benefits sealed boxes, but does have s...

Going back to using PG.

It's been a long time coming. I was hoping the local pawn shop had the SD1300.1 still but I didn't see it so I made an offer on eBay on a Ti2 800.1 after seeing the review in PAS magazine, http://www.pasmag.com/car-audio/reports/3177-phoenix-gold-ti2-8001-amplifier , And I have every intention of us...

Re: Another custom amp-- need opinions

J, I like the Chernobyl theme/name. The big one is already a PG amp. Also to go along with what you had mentioned, the big bang? I would personally fall into the tweakers realm on this project. The more channels I have at my disposal, the better. Scott, I'd love to see 3 of the 430's together though...

Re: SD1300.1 Found one local, thoughts/concerns

It's at a pawn shop, but also listed on ebay. I'm sure there might be some wiggle room on the price. When I have the money in hand I'll go in and haggle the price some.

Thanks for your insight. Might I ask what the birth sheet said it did if you remember?

SD1300.1 Found one local, thoughts/concerns

As I was browsing for some PG gear, I came across an SD1300.1 in overall decent shape. A few scuffs and 2 of the mounting feet are broke/cracked, but still there. They're asking $200. Not sure of it's MSRP, but does it seem like a good price for a 7.5/10 cosmetilly, 10/10 performance? I miss having/...

Re: Xenon amps or audison lrx blue

I have not heard the Xenon amps personally, but I did own an Audison LRx5.1k that I should've never rid myself of. Probably the best amp I've ever had/ran. Not sure if that's in part because it was an Audison, a 5ch or just the aahh factor, but it was one of the best sounding amps I've ever heard too.

Same here. I'm currently using a Clarion A4600 (6ch amp) and a LANZAR Opti500.

I've got a crap ton of OS items. I use/play/collect them. There's a huge group of us on FB, so to say that OS is dead....fraid not.

Old School Stereo's FB page is where I frequent mostly now. It's just a lot easier then phorums. Plus you get to see that persons face that otherwise would be hiding behind a PC screen. On FB, if you type in the OS brand you like with old school in it, you'll probably find it. PG OSS Clarion OSS LAN...

Believe it or not, but the first system I ever heard was Axle Rose's full size '89 Ford Branco in 1990. My mom is good friends with his mom and step-dad. Re: Xs6600 vs Sapphire 1.5x

Take a look at the crossover too. I'm not sure what the XS has, but with the Sapphire you're fixed at 90Hz and it's summed from the front inputs. So unless you have a BassCube, there's no real easy way to adjust the bass on the fly. The XS is a 6ch that has 6chs of input, the Sapphire is a 5ch that ...

Haven't been here in a while, sorry. I've been running the SF's longer then anyone I know, just over 5 yrs now. I love the sound of them and would compare them to the Hybrid Audio L6's. The down side, these really need a sealed enclosure to work/sound properly. I have run mine in a .15cf sealed encl...
