Re: Phoenix Gold Octane R5.1MT, pics inside

That's kind of what I was thinking too. Maybe they were hoping I might offer more then they sold them for.....? Seemed shady to me, but the weekend might've snuk up on them?

One of the repair places got back to me and asked how much I'm willing to pay. I replied and haven't heard back since.

In need of the remote and ir plug but I promised I'd post some pics from under the hood, so here they are. I forgot exterior pics so I'll get some up soon as well. http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l278/smgreen2043/Phoenix%20Gold/Amps/IMAG0746_zps4wktaham.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l278/s...

Forgot to add, this is my home on the net, it's the first place I've really ever felt welcome online and there's a lot of good people here. This place will always have a spot in my heart.

I still linger, my main focus has shifted to old school car audio and an mostly on Facebook in the OS group. I still love my PG and wouldn't mind getting some more, but my Clarion and LANZAR addiction has really taken off.

That's good, let us know what you think. I've run 160w each to mine, 0 issues. Note: they NEED to be sealed or put in a ported box, I forgot to mention, they don't do well IB.

Re: Pg zero point mids

I love them. I compare them to the Boston comps everyone loves so much. I had a set of the 5 1/4" comps but sold them to fund the purchase of a set of the 6 1/2" comps. You want a great set of mids for under $100, look into the 6 1/2" Silver Flutes from madisound.com I compare those t...

I know there's a few people here that can fix amps too, I also know a few others that aren't here. Eric D would be my first choice here, outside of here Ray Rayfield.

Re: Soundstream ref 700sx ?'s

I look at it this way, we all go through down times in life. We also all deserve a break or forgiveness when it happens. If it keeps happening then ok, but his isn't the case and he's trying to do right to correct the situation. He's still a good guy and until I see him do wrong I will continue to o...

Re: Soundstream ref 700sx ?'s

I figured Wade Stewart would be the go to guy on these.... :) I just scored a USA305 totally overhauled by Wade. Should have it Monday. My first SS amp. Wade was repairing SS amps and doesn't charge much at all. I can get you his info if you'd like. Btw, Wade designed and his company built these amps.

As long as the power is clean, 5 1/4" I'd give 100w to them.

Love the Wolverine claws idea. Late to the party I am, but you're lucky in thesense that your local police are willing to take finger prints. My wife's car was broken into on Nov 17th, 97 and we too had finger prints on her car butthey wouldn't take the prints. Pissed me off. They stole my Clarion D...

Re: Speaker pillars for ti elite speakers

I owned a set of the Elite 6's before so I'm very familiar with them. I have not, however, owned a set of the 9's. Your 9 is over twice the cone area of the 6 (63.5 sqin vs 28.26 sqin), in due time, it will take its toll, but what do I know. Bottom line, if it's pleasing to your ears then that's all...

Re: Speaker pillars for ti elite speakers

It would be in you best interest to put the 6" and 9" in there own chamber. That 9 will beat the piss out of that 6 sharing the same air space. Also the Quarter xover is designed for 4 ohm drives. How ever you have your tweets wired you're either at a 2 ohm load or an 8 ohm load changing t...
