As long as you are willing to pay shipping, I am willing to ship. I am still waiting on the broken Ta1200.1, but it should be here early this next week. I already have the numerical code generated for the PCB's. If life treats me well on my two days off, I will try to route one with the mill to get ...

Hmmmm... The idea sucks that bad then? Seriously, I won't get all butt hurt if you guys tell me it sucks. I want to hear honest advise before I go further. On a side note, I got my sheet of aluminum yesterday. Holy shit, the price went out the roof and took the damn ceiling with it. About 2 years ag...

Custom M100/M44 Idea tank

I am starting this thread mainly to post my Acad drawings of my proposed Super Amp. I know others have done similar things. I know Fuzzyhonutz has a interesting plan in mind for some as well. I want you all to share your opinions on my design as I go, to make sure I don't make any mistakes I will re...

Sorry for the long delay in reply. I have been pretty busy with work. I would love to have some good scans or pictures of the M100 and M44 silk screening. Post up any logos and I will try to vectorize them as I have time. If any one wants the .dfx's for their own use for vinyl, silkscreen, or machin...

I paid somewhere around $750 for a ZX500 brand new in '96(ish)I bought several through their production years, and I think the lest I ever got one for was $599. I had four or five ZX500's at one point, and a couple of ZX450's. Both were in the same price range. I remember in '96 or so one shop had a...

Thanks guys! Like I said, the M100 Case I have is plain white now that I scrapped the blasphemous kicker sticker off of it. I may strip it, and engrave and repaint it. I may have to hit someone up for high resolution images of the M series covers. It takes a lot of time to vectorize the image, even ...

Got your PM, I will try to reply later, I am at work right now w/ limited time to be online. Long story short, Let me do my own M100/M44 case and see if you like the results. In my case, the case will be all new and custom made by myself, so if it sucks, it is no big deal. I wouldn't even think abou...

That metal piece looks curved. Was that done before or after the engraving? In other words, can you engrave on non-flat surfaces? It is just 16g aluminum sheet I had kicking around the shop. It is slightly curved because of the way it was stored. I tried very hard to get it held down for the engrav...

Yeah, I started one before these shown and I actually *had* a old 3/32 ball end engraver. I started cutting, it had a great, really fine line, good detail, but it wasn't cutting deep enough, so in a bone head move I reset the depth to .5" instead of .005", and sunk it through the aluminum ...

Thought you guys might like this.

I spent some time screwing with my CNC mill today. Engraved an O/S PG logo in aluminum, and in plexi. I didn't have any proper engraving cutters, so I just gave it a shot with an old drill. Came out pretty good, the plexi was just a piece of scrap, but I think I am going ot engrave some in thicker p...

Nico, Thank you. I don't have any issue with testing my board once complete, though. A few extra bucks if the pot is wrong won't be a big deal to me. So, if you don't feel comfortable de-soldering the potentiometer, then don't worry about it. Thanks again guys. BTW, I have plenty of responses via PM...

Thanks, but upon looking further, it isn't going to work with it connected to the board. VR1, R1 and R2 are series in parallel with those terminals as well. Do you happen to know where the volume pot was set? If it were set at is maximum resistance, I should be able to calculate the resistance of th...

Okay, I got all of the components figured out. Things will be a tiny bit different than the original remotes, namely in that the freq. adjust pot shaft will not be removable. I doubt any of you actually want to remove it, and although I can get those pots, they are about 6x the cost of a normal one....

BF, the volume pot, if you haven't shipped it yet, can you tell me what the name or numbers are that are stamped on the top of the switch section? You can just see they are there in picture DSCN0187.jpg, but can't make them out, all of the other pictures of the top have too much reflection to read. ...

No, not unless they are labeled as such. You can check with a meter though if you get ambitious. Linear taper will measure from 0-10k ohms evenly over the whole range of the pot. Audio taper is a logarithmic curve that increases from 0-10k. A linear pot would be about half of it's rated value at hal...

Thanks BF, I will re-draw the pcb in PCBexpress tonight. Maybe I can get some of these together for the guys in need.

Does anyone know if the pots are audio taper or linear? I am guessing the volume is audio taper and the freq is linear, but if you know off hand, chime in.

Do you have the software to upload cad drawings? Yes and no. The software I am using for a machine controller is called Mach3. It supports importing of .dfx files and will allow you to enter your cutter diameter and feedrates and stuff and will cut one dfx layer at a time, at varying depths if you ...

I finally got the CNC mill running!!!!

Whooooohoooo! It has been a long drawn out process. I have about a month and a half of all of my free time wrapped up in it. Dragged it home for $500, sunk about another $1500 into it retrofitting it to PC based controls. It made it's first cuts in my shop on Monday. I still have some tuning and wor...

I don't typically have the bass cranked non stop like I did when I was a kid. My current syste...
