Re: anyone ever sold something on craigslist to a crack head

Sometimes I wish theyd do away with the borders and go to a continental currency kind of like the EURO. I wouldnt even begin to understand the logistics or ramifications of it,but it would be nice to trade with you guys up north without the high shipping costs and having to deal with customs. You gu...

Re: shitty week

I know right!! My mom passed last March and I still havent got up the nerve to go up to Dickenson County,VA. and spend a week going through all her stuff(crap). Theres a 10'x16' storage shed there that is literally floor to ceiling, wall to wall packed such that you can barely slide the door open. Al...

I took myself some time to dig deeper into the problem and why the carb cought fire. What cought my attention was that the fire only spread arround the rear outer carb. That´s unusual for a six packk setup. Usally the center carb catches fire in case of a backfiring cylinder. I started the car agai...

With that muffler set up. Its almost too easy.

Are you going to put an adjustable switch on the gas pedal linkage? That would be cool as shit! You could hook it to the cutout and a sneaky pete NOS system.

WOT=FUN!!

Re: Need Some Oscope Pointers

Off hand it sounds like you might have a ground problem. What kind of cables are you using for the o-scope? What kind should we be using? The old school scope I picked up a few ago didnt have any. The guy at radioshack said to use regular test probe leads. I was thinking I needed sheilded ones or s...

maccar

After searching for weeks for some MPC300-8b Monster cable 8awg black cable I found some at maccar.com.

Has anyone ever purchased from here before?

They list it by the foot instead of $300 250ft spools.Which would save me a ton.

You would need to take off the boards as well but if you like the skulls thing on ebay then you need to look into hydrographics. The have DIY kits on ebay now. You just float the pattern in a tube of water, spray the activator on it and then dip it. Not sure how all the ridges in the sink would go ...

Re: Amp finish

Chrome powder coat you should be able to fix reasonably easily I would think. For the life of me I can't figure out how without stripping them first. Thats why i thought maybe paint or liquid tranfer. They could be painted without disassembly, but chrome plating, powder coating and liquid transfer wo...

I dont necessarily have to go back chrome. I thought they were polished aluminum then clear powder coated, but I have one amp that was scuffed pretty bad in one spot. Ive tried over and over to polish that spot with no effect. Tried White diamond,Wenol,Neverdull and mothers. Absolutely no change. Im ...

Thats good to know. I didnt figure the 450 would have enough power for that. I may have to rethink the Chevette build.

I always had good luck with the old school SAS/Bazooka stuff. I guess it depends on how old school they are as to the quality. The last SAS product I had was one of those nitrous bottle looking Bazookas years ago when they first came out and it was pretty but junk.
