Serial number 500001. Opened it up to see if the caps were leaking. No signs of leaking at all. This amp looks damn near flawless. Thought I'd share some pics

My 1000.2 is heavy. Thing is a monster. Heads up the LEDs are mounted to the top panel. I'm sure you've opened one up before though

I assume your talking about the one for $1600 on eBay. That seems steep to me as well. But you can ask whatever you want. My thought would be $400-800 depending on condition and box. Could be more or less than that too. I wouldn't mind finding a kinda beat up cheap one to match my 1000.2. And refini...

No this a 500.4 I got. Both the zx475ti's work great.

Tested all and no shorts between any combo of the 3 legs on any.

Ok so the resistors with arrows have no reading. With crossover on bypass. Front left sounds scratcy. Front right sounds normal(the one that goes full gain if crossovers are on). Rear left has no sound. Rear right sounds scratchy. So if 2&3 ea have one bad resistor do they sound scratchy because...

I remember being at the factory in portland and seeing the boards going across a solder vat putting the through hole parts on. Can't remember if the boards were cut in house though.

I got some 1/2w ones on the way home. Is that going to be too big? I'll take pics as soon as I can.

I checked all that were around then and found 4 that were open. All with that code.

Any one know the value of this resistor. The 2 gold bands are throwing me off.

I think your both on to something. The one full boar channel goes normal on bypass. Also found 4 of the 8 resistors next to the big fets have no reading with my dmm.

I wa using a variable tone generator. Tried all crossover pos. and I'm pretty sure all the lights were lit.

There is a eq215 tantrum on eBay in the titanium finish. Is that normal?

So I've got a 500.4. One front channel has no volume and one rear channel is full volume. I have the amp all apart. Wondering where I should start looking to fix this fine machine

Almost sounds like you need a zen9 I haven't played with the thesis but my elite is very accurate I've been quite impressed with it.

I've had the same fluke dmm for 19 yrs and it's never failed me. I use both meters.

Looks sweet. If your looking for a good dmm check out the tpi super scope 400. Funny name but a cheaper dmm with an osiliscope built in.
