Sand casting is fine for an engine block as all of the critical surfaces will be machined to exacting tolerances. Those castings just give the machinist something to start with really. GM has been doing "lost foam" casting for awhile and those engines are a riot to look at. The cylinder he...

the gto was fast but had no charisma since it looked like a sleeker grand prix. it was too bad that they didn't do just a couple of things different on that car as it could have been a classic. Exactly. You could walk into a Pontiac dealer, get asked two questions to select the "model" yo...

gotta admit, ford is slowly impressing me. the new focus looks pretty mean too[/quote] I couldn't agree more completely. Ford quality has come light years from what it was in the 80's. They are also coming out with some decent styling to go along with that quality! And no bankruptcy! Go Ford. This i...

Sooooo, is this going to be a real 5.0 this time or for history's sake will it actually be a 4.948 again?

Sorry I couldn't help it.

Over 400 hp all aluminum with 4 valves per cylinder sounds great though.

This is a tough one. I am all for buying our favorite product at a local retailer, as in brick and mortar. The concerns about hack shops selling it is legitimate. From my past experience PG was high end and very exclusive. You had to go to RKST, the "cool" store to get it. PG needs to have...

Good luck with the MS. Those were proprietary for sure. I have thought about reverse engineering them, making a mold etc. I looked into E-Machine shop before and at making 100 or so they would have cost about $45 US dollars each. Crazy expensive. It would be worth the trouble to finally do it. Use b...

Now I want to know if it is true. Larry "the car audio guru" stated they made less than 200 Franks. That is less than the commonly heard less than 300. Now we are down to 99?!

Who out there really knows?! Someone does, please help us!

Like Fuzzy said fellas AAMP and PG are going through a transitional phase. It'll take some time for them to get up to speed and figure out exactly how they're going to handle things. With that said I still don't think it's very likely that we'll ever see quite the level of service that we have grow...

Talking about oldskool.... CERWIN VEGA S-15 free air woofers is what I used, 8 of them in my small opel kadett. With a efficiency of 96Db and powered by 4 MS2125's they hit 156Db in 1996, good enough to win the European championship. [I still remember that day well :hurr: ] All day long I had beate...
