Re: Zx and titanium amps
The "HF" capacitors have leaked and are highly recommended to be replaced with "FC" capacitors. The 475 and the 500.4 are pretty much the same amplifier with little changes (capacitors, the 500.4 doesn't have the "HF" series in the filter section...wish I could be more ...

Re: Is this acceptable?
Where are your dmm test leads when you get this "short"? That wima cap will not short or cause anything to short (unless it was installed in the wrong part of the circuit....is there an electrolytic "wet" cap on the opposite side where that wima cap is, in other words it it paral...

Not a gamer, but after all the Xbox's a friend of mine had to go through...I say its a no brainer (PS4). Also all the forums and threads out there just to repair the Xbox....its absolutely unacceptable and Microsoft should of taken responsibility and did a recall. Then again, most of the owners of t...

Re: ZX475Ti - PCB pictures required
Yeah don't bother trying to return them. Mouser allowed me once even twice to return a few components but they notify me that since I am purchasing small amounts they wont be able to do any refunds in the future so be sure you order only what you need. Of course unless they send me the wrong compone...

Re: ZX600 Ti Repair
I consider specs on datasheets when I choose replacement caps. That's why I went with the FC series, when compared to the NHG...the FC is a better replacement for the DC filter section. I also stick with 25v instead of the 16v, that's why I couldn't increase capacitance as much as 4.5x :( , that and...

Re: ZX600 Ti Repair
What I used is what I had in my capacitor case/box. I don't think you can go any higher than 30mm because of how the sides slope down, one capacitor is right by the smoke plexi-glass right where it slopes ***right between the thermal LED and the overload LED***. What caps did you use audiophyle247 a...

Re: ZX600 Ti Repair
Is it recommended? Only by everyone, lol, the "HF" caps have/will/are leaking.....TRUST ME. If yours have the HF caps, I wouldn't even want to have it installed. There are several members here that can do the cap replacement (shawnK, eric just to name a couple). I can do them if you wish, ...

ZX600 Ti Repair
I bought this knowing it was having issues, so I picked it up pretty cheap. I quickly notice this amplifier had the "HF" 2200uf 16v capacitors in the DC filter section, so I replace those with "FC" 3300uf 25v caps. Yes they leaked, just take a look at the pictures. They didn't do...

Re: PG MS2250 schematic
All (most) old school PG amplifiers where mirror boards meaning they copy and paste for channels. So if you have a working channel then you can copy and paste for the non-working channel (of course one been inverted but that's about the only differences between the two channels).

Contact altser, he has the terminal blocks that your looking for. I think he sells them for 20.00 each, ask him though. Like I mention you might have to dremel the side panel to fit the bigger block. Its possible.

Is the original damaged? It can be swapped out but some mods will be required to the panel as the others use a bigger block.bunch62 wrote:Can the power/remote connector for the zx250 be changed to the type fitted on the other zx range thanks Allan

The scope might be faulty, only way to check it would be with another scope (to verify that its either your scope or your head unit not been able to pick up/play sine waves).

Thanks guys, I just can't believe what some people do when their fuses open/pop. XS4600 Repair
I picked this up for a few bucks knowing it wasn't working. Well once I got it, I quickly notice that someone used wire/foil for a fuse (NOT A SMART THING TO DO, actually one of the most dumb things to do). So I pop it open and found that all 6 power fets where shorted, one gate resistor off toleran...
