ive hooked a multimedia player that plays mp3's up to an eclipse unit and the sound wasn't horrible as some people say. sure it's not as good as a digitally mastered cd but it wasnt bad sounding either, yea some mp3's recorded over and over again sound like crap but not all of them do.

you may need to take it to a speaker repair shop that guaranty's their work and can get the parts needed to take the speaker apart and put it back together again, because i looks like they speaker need's to come apart in order to fix it.

if there is still enough of the lead sticking out from the spider then you may can solder it but when soldering these leads it's best when your first soldering attempt is successful otherwise it becomes harder to get the solder to stick and also you can futher damage the speaker.

depending on if it is broken off at the speaker terminal or in the middle, if its broke off at the terminal sometimes you can resolder it with some extra flux and good solder and still have enough wire left for speaker movement.if it broke in the middle then it can be a bit more difficult to solder ...

as with any grey ms series amp they are the amps that where made earlier than the white ones, some of the grey 2125's have the speaker cables on one side and the wire's are smaller.

yeah they got some audiophile in them, ive got one of their tube amps it's rated at 75x4 it's not working "maybe the tubes" but planet audio no longer services these and their customer service is not the greatest anyway's here's some pics.

ive actually taken the large main power amp fet out of a kenwood exelon tape player and put it into a clarion cd player that had a blown one in it. the kenwood was rated as having 50x4 while the clarion was like 25x4 the clarion seemed to have more power but it could have just been wishful thinking....

I think the TA would sound better. Dual mono and such a simple design is probably superior to a ZPA for SQ purposes. i can agree with that statement even though we don't agree on allot of things, but simply put i do listen to my 2125 more than my 0.3 im sure the same could be said for the 2250. :)
