We demand board pics and specs! And pics! 9 channels? If the sub channel(s) don't suck, and I win the lotto, that might make a nice replacement for the pair of 900.7's and 800.1 going into my del sol.
Did I mention we demand pics?

Re: Think we'll see anything new at CES in a couple of weeks
How about a staggered 5 channel? 250x2, 75/100x2, beefy sub channel. Built in cube, xo, and eq215 in the top? Heck, make all the tuning digitial and use an iPhone app like the camaro amp doohickey.

Re: Stephen Mantz?
I wonder if anything like the old mantz quad bridging esx stuff could be done again or if it's held back by third party patents. It would certainly allow for far more load options. I'd love to see a ti3 2400.8? that was an 8 channel amp bridgeable down to 2 channels. Maybe 75x8 or 75x4 + 1200x1, or ...

Re: 1986 regal Un limited
I saw your regal once at automotive innovations in davenport at a db drag event in late 04/early 05 I was out looking to see if I could find my orion cobalt amps and mint soundstream D100 and SF90 that had been stolen. Still looking... Was a nice install then, still looks nice. I must say though, I ...

Re: Stephen Mantz?
What what? Mantz? OMG. Seriously, he's a wizard. I've talked with him several times. Makes me want to ask how much of him is in the Ti2's.... Almost all of the mantz amps I've heard that weren't built on too tight of a budget sounded very warm and mellow with the right source. So many amps I've play...

Glue a 6.5" whizzer cone coaxial to the dust cap, and it'll become a three note wonder..... That or it will become a deadly projectile if your glue isn't strong enough.....

Re: zpa 0.5 vs ppi pc 2350
What about a ti1000.2/1200.1 for big AB power? Otherwise, if it doesn't have to be super clean, the big ass audiobahn A2300HC high current amps make a nice pile of power. I think MA audio made a monster AB high current sub amp too. Maybe 3000 RMS at like 1 ohm? It wasn't as clean as the audiobahn th...

A digital iphone app controlled ax-608 or somesuch. Multiple inputs, high level, five channels of rca, balanced, spdif, toslink, everything someone might need... Then add bluetooth and USB, an option for a mic to do hands free calling through stereo, etc.... And then enough outputs and crossover opti...

Maybe minidsp8x8 and add the crossover section? http://www.minidsp.com/images/documents/Product%20Brief-10x10%20Xover%20plug-in.pdf That's the link to the crossover plugin software. Gives you 8 analog inputs, 2 digital inputs if you add the digital module, and 8+2 outputs with bandpass filters, dela...

What's that at the bottom? Double cube, double lpl? Cube for midbass and bass with lpl each? Cube for bass and subsonic via cyclone with lpl each?

Re: Who needs a bass cube knob?
Any chance the big pot would be able to be mounted on a dip socket? Then we could detach it, and replace with a resistor or set of resistors like an Rnet for fixed freq. :) Other option might be a pair of jumpers to connect to enable freq knob, with socket for resistor with jumpers set other way. Or...

Re: Who needs a bass cube knob?
Anyone ever made a double LPL to run two amps at once? (Left side, right side, or similar)
I'd think you could just use a longer double ganged pot... But didn't know if there was some other nifty trick.

I could use a knob. Not in the buying stuff phase right now, so maybe 2nd run down the road a bit? He three led option and built in lpl would be sweet too. I'm with some others, I'd like to see how the prototype turns out. Keep us posted!

Mother of god. If that thing is internally just like the 4 channel Erik reviewed for each pair of channels, and another internally bridged two channel for each of the sub channels... That's a damn MONSTER. Got current? Got ear protection?

Re: ZX 600TI Bridged at 1 ohm load?
4 ohm is where it should be bridged. The 2 ohm bridged is PG saying "it's durable as hell, it'll take some abuse if you feed it and cool it." You don't gain that much more, other than twice the heat, and 50% more power. Lots higher risk of blowing it up. That's also why they toned down the...

Re: Elite.1 Strapping Question
You gain the ability to run mono bass to three/5/7/9 subs evenly.... As opposed to stereo OR mono bass unstrapped with an even number of subs. Also, gain matched strapped amps can power a single coil. You could strap two old ti800.1's per voice coil of a sub.... Or two elite.1's per coil if you coul...

Re: Sundown Subs vs. Phoenix Gold Subs
Ive gone to car shows just to look, and ended up helping with stereos put together by so called high end shops as well. The look on their face when a couple thousand in gear suddenly sounds GOOD is worth it. I've seen "8 gauge" power wire on big amps that MIGHT be worthy of calling 10 gaug...

I'd avoid Kingston hyperX or any ram with heat spreaders. Quality ram doesn't need them, shouldn't have them, and ideally should share a die/package with something the original ram fab puts into ecc server ram. Not saying to buy ecc... But TONS of 'gamer' ram is just ram that was sold at below cost ...

Bah, just use old rf amps for the subs and there is your cooktop surface.... Then you don't need the propane tank and can throw in more batteries.

How about the app amp.... Without the amp. 1/2 or even full din or small trunk mount, eq, crossovers, time alignment, etc. while we are at it, lets add additional switching inputs for iPod/phone/etc. would it also be too much to ask for digital input option?

You'd think with the prices of the elite line though, that people installing them would have a clue... But you're likely right. Too many stupid people period. Now, and in the 90s. The guys that try and run the hcca's at 1/4 ohm bridged and crap... Or the opti 50c at a billionth of an ohm.... Those a...
