Re: Finally going to get serious(ish) about HT, questions
I wouldn't recommend Overnight Sensations for your rear speakers. First of all they are designed to be nearfield monitors, so they won't sound right in a big room. Second, you want to match the "timbre" or general sound profile of all of your speakers. Because of this, I would personally ...

Re: Finally going to get serious(ish) about HT, questions
Well, after months of sitting in the other room I finally got off my ass this weekend and built the TriTrix speakers! The build was easy as could be minus the x-overs. This was my first attempt at building x-overs and not just buying them from somewhere. I gotta say, it was kind of fun! I'm sure the...

Re: Monday is over @ E3 thought on xbox one or PS4?
Right now not to often honestly. But, I can see myself going back and playing the ps3 and 360 a lot. That's my rub.

Re: Monday is over @ E3 thought on xbox one or PS4?
I have played the Mass Effect games on the 360 at least 8 times through. That's 50 hours per game, 3 games each play through. And currently I am playing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on my original modded Xbox in the bedroom each night before going to bed. Yeah, I'm a little odd like that. I...

Re: Monday is over @ E3 thought on xbox one or PS4?
I like to call myself a gamer. I own 2 PS3's, a Xbox 360, Wii, a modded original xbox, a PSP, and a Nintendo DS. Prior to E3 I would not consider buying either console. There were heavy rumors that both systems would not be backwards compatible. After E3 that is absolutely no way in hell I would con...

Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP
On a recent vacation the wife and I took a side trip to this little known National Park. Turns out, it's pretty cool! I'm sure the locals love it, and love it even more that nobody knows about it! This trip we did not have the time to devote to this park, which only means that we will have...

WOW, look at all of that info!!!
Thanks for all of the suggestions. It's obvious that I have a lot of research to do. I'll look into the suggestions as I learn more about the different pieces. Thanks guys! I'll let you know the final outcome.

Anyone here build their own computer?
I highly considering bypassing Microsoft, Sony, and Direct TV and building my own computer. I have a quote from a company for a custom computer, problem is I have no idea what I am looking at. My goal is to use the computer for gaming (mostly replacing a new xbox one and ps4), photo editing f...

A bad day fishing......
Is better than a good day at work! :D I went fishing yesterday with my old man. No fish were caught, but we still had a great time. I did take a few moments to get the camera out.;) http://mrtibbs2004.smugmug.com/Nature/Fishing-3-15-13/i-TJfCxL9/0/XL/IMGP0139-XL.jpg http://mrtibbs2004.smugmug.com/Na...

Re: New camera soon!
Yep, primes are the way to go for me now! I have two zoom lenses that cover from 17mm to 300mm. Now I just need a few more primes to round out my collection. I know about the 40mm pancake, but I already own a 35mm and now a fast 50mm. I still have to play with the 50mm, but I know the 35mm is a keep...

New camera soon!
Well, the stars have finally aligned just right and I have talked the wife into buying me a new camera. The Pentax K-5 IIs will soon be mine!! I hope to get it before we take a trip to Mesa Verde in a couple of months. In the meantime I did sneak in a purchase of a new (to me) used lens, a...

Re: Finally going to get serious(ish) about HT, questions
I have the sub in a sealed box just sitting in my closet. The box was built to specs for a sealed box. I guess I'm wondering if I can just throw some power to it and use it as a HT sub as is?? Also, you guys are wayyyyyy to slow. I ordered the speakers last night and they will be here on Friday. I k...

Because of my work schedule lately I was unable to go see the new Batman movie in the theater soooooo, I have to bring the theater experience to my living room!! I currently have a HT system with older ...

Catch and release my friend. I take no pleasure in killing a beast like this especially when I know I will not eat it. I have not kept a fish in Utah for years!stipud wrote:What I wanna know is how amazing did it taste?
FISHING!!
Anyone here a fisherman/fisherwoman?? I have been working out of town lately and had the privileged of fishing a part of the river that is normally off limits to fishing. A few nights ago I caught a MONSTER brown trout. Unfortunately the guy I was with could not figure out how to operate my phone/ca...
