Re: momstang rebuild begins.

This week, lighting... I ran the additional wires for the demon eyes, the turn signals and then realized this is the time to run the wires I am going to use to light up the fender badges. While planning that I also had some interior lighting I have added that needed to be connected/powered and just...

Re: M100 Schematic

Isnt the M100 a combination of the m50 and m25? If so, C7 on my m50 is 474 m58 and c15 is 10uf 16v

Jcampbell is the guy to ask though.

Re: Zx600 ti

Ok, I'd love some direction on replacement parts. Q111 is 2SC1567 and the legs were cut, can't find too much information on that transistor apparently its NLA. Q114 and Q115 are missing. Q117 is a 2SA1659A which doesn't match any other transistor on the board so it's got to be a replacement. Q116 ha...

Re: Zx600 ti

I can fix the hole in the board. Thats not hard. I like a challenge, are the circuits in the 600 the same as any of the other zx amps?

Zx600 ti

Hi, trying to fix a zx600 for my buddy. Its got some issues cap leaked and burned a hole in the board, it seems to not be shorted there, so that fix should be straightforward. He sent it in for repair and got it back as not economical for that guy to do it. But id like to learn. I know these amps ar...

Re: momstang rebuild begins.

I am amazed that its friday and I am no further then I was last week. Got caught up trying to figure out why the new window regulators were not going up all the way before the warranty period was up with them and wasted a few days with them going back/forth with LMR. Then I had an old friend in tow...

Re: ZPA 0.5

Not planning on rolling the dice. I like these amps to much to do that. Steve still does them and he seems to be the closest. I don’t want to ship them. I would rather deliver and pick up personally. I want them to last for another 20+ years. So it will get done. Is there more work that should be d...

Re: ZPA 0.5

It was the card. It had come loose. I’d forgotten that this had happened the first year I had them but was in a different car and different set up that contributed to it. Reinserted and works perfectly. Changing the crossover does nothing visually but you can hear the range changing. The ps caps yo...

Re: ZPA 0.5

Zx450 has the problem caps as well. I service them as well as many others. If the zpa does have another issue I can repair that as well. I do caps flat rate for PG amps. Pm me if you want to know my rates. Last I heard Mantz was not taking repairs due to health issues (iirc) and PG was referring fo...

Re: ZPA 0.5

Hello Fresh like other forum members said priority number one is changing the 12 blue PSU caps. You can find a lot of info in the "how to" section. On the crossover card there is a push button. Push it and tell us what happens (when the amp is working and connected to the speakers) There ...

I bought 2 sets of component speakers and some custom made VW MK4 A pillar pods. Smooth, perfect transaction. And what I care about most in any non local transaction is THE PACKAGING OF THE ITEMS. Re: ZPA 0.5

You must disconnect them immediately. Your amps are are at risk for starting a fire, I thought this amp was fine, nope all the caps were leaking and one of the traces was bad. Im in the process of changing the caps myself on several of my amps, Granted its not a zpa or a zx, my zx amps i bought in 9...

Re: ZPA 0.5

I would start by injecting a signal directly into the amp. If that doesnt work, i would then disconnect the speakers and test them if they dont work. Figure out if its wiring or other component in that signal path. If injecting directly into the amp works, then you have an idea that its headunit bac...

I was playing in the car today and blew a fuse and I have to say I blew the fuck out of it :) https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1916/31252679108_6aa2186ba4_b.jpg Never been impressed by it before but I have also never seen it go out the side as well. Sweet! Sounds like things are going well. But that install though.

So are you just going to drive it around a while before finishing the install?
