Re: Ms275

yellow is for normal operation (normal loads). red will limit the power supply voltage so you can run it somewhat high current instead of high voltage (2 ohm mono).
I don't know exactly how much input voltage it can handle but I do know it will take more than 2 volts.

Re: Ms275

MS 275 is one of my favorite small amps. Sound awesome on a set of components with plenty of headroom or just enough power to run a single sub. Also very versatile and you can run it at lower impedances by using the internal yellow/red switch and switching it into high current mode. The fact the Tri...

Re: MPS 2220?

I've never seen anyone in car audio use an enclosure like that either. I will be doing some more research on that for sure. Very interesting and looks awesome!

Re: Bass Cube problem

Sorry guys I guess I didn't word that clearly. The internal control to set max gain at +3 to +15 dB. That was turned full clockwise at the minimum +3 dB setting. With the control knob in the dash even all the way up there was no difference. Internal adjustment for subsonic filter is all the way down...

Looks good. Your attention to detail on your car is top notch. You have way more patience than I do.

Re: Bass Cube problem

So I kind of figured it out. I assumed that the inside knob to adjust the max gain was +3dB all the way to the left and up to +15dB all the way clockwise. I had it backwards amd turned it all the way counter clockwise for a 15dB gain and it definitely makes a difference now. I just can't believe it ...

Re: Bass Cube problem

I do have the 4 conductor cable. I just bought it a few months ago. I have another bass cube, knob, cable, etc. Tomorrow evening I am going to swap one part at a time to figure out where the problem is. I did check the internal settings as well to make sure they weren't way off. Even only a 3 dB gai...

Bass Cube problem

I was finally able to install my bass cube after having it sit many years on the shelf since I got my new knobs from Trickyricky. Power light on the bass cube is on. Light on the knob comes on when I turn the knob on. The signal is passing through the bass cube fine as my subs play fine. The issue i...

Re: 1998 T4R Build........Part duex

You will double the power at 2 ohm. Any lower, you wont get much more power and will generate more heat and draw more current.

Re: 1998 T4R Build........Part duex

More headroom, less distortion, and higher damping factor not running the amp at it's minimum impedance.

I love seeing the stuff that was never released. It amazes that 20+ years later, these custom pieces are still coming out of the woodwork. PG must have been super busy back then. Impressive and innovative!

Re: Pg zero point mids

Awesome speakers! I have a set of 8" Silver Flutes going in the doors of my Corvette. I am using them with SEAS Prestige tweeters and running an active setup. Amp is a ZX950. The ZX500 channels will power the mids, channels 1&2 of the ZX450 will power the tweeters and channels 3&4 will ...

Re: Let's see your stash

All very nice gear Pedi but that custom job with the 4 MS275's is bad ass! Beautifully done. Especially love the gold bars to carry power to the inside amps. Looks like it came straight from PG. Also love how the terminals are flipped so that the amp can be mounted with the guts showing and still be...

Re: what speakers would you use

Boston Pros are still one of my all time favorites. Sounded awesome, plenty midbass, tweeters weren't too harsh even at high volumes, and they were damn near indestructible. I still have a set of 6.4's.

Elites all the way. The Alpine type x stuff isn't bad at all though. That's what I have in my daily driver right now. They sound good but lack a little in the midbass.
