Re: Elite LED lighting

My truck just happens to be at my installer's getting the amp racks finished up, which includes blue LED's under the amps casting what should theoretically look like a blue silhouette around the outside of the amps. They were done working on it yesterday I think, but between my job and this snowstor...

When you do the four channel, please post a step by step process. A video even if you have that ability. That's cool as hell.

Re: 2014 Honda CR-V (New PG Gear)

We were in my truck one day listening to my iPod. There are very few bands that we agree on, but Halestorm is one, and she was skipping a bunch of tracks she doesn't like, which includes most of their first album. I was like wait a minute. The reason you don't like the first album is because the bas...

Re: 2014 Honda CR-V (New PG Gear)

It's actually not too bad really. I noticed it when I turned it up a lot on a bass heavy track, but with the volume at normal people levels you can't hear it. She only will play it at normal people levels. But, I wanted to take it out, she didn't, so if there is an issue with it, she's more than wel...

2014 Honda CR-V (New PG Gear)

When my wife bought her new car, she said she wanted to have the entertainment system that I have in my truck in her car, so our daughter could watch her shows, as well as remote start. I figured that if we were going to do that, we might as well get an amp, upgrade the door speakers, and stick a su...

Re: Under seat box for a gmc Sierra 2500hd

Just trying out the elite.5 at 1 ohm on two elite12d4's in my new enclosure. Too bad you don't have dual 2 Elite 12's. You could very easily get by with a pair of Elite.5's, send 1150 rms to each 12, and run your full range speakers off of the other 8 channels. The rear channels have a BP crossover...

Wait until you experience cabin gain. LOL

Box looks epic as hell. Do you have something planned to keep your kids from putting their heels through the subs, you know aside from the threat of bodily harm?

What sub (notice how I didn't say "subs"?) are you trying to cram under there?

X2. I'm getting some clear plexy next week to replace two of my elite amps smoked plexy. I'll take some pics and post when done. Please do that. If yours looks good I might do it to mine, and go one further and have either "Phoenix Gold", "Elite", or both, frosted onto the plexi...

Re: How close does a line driver need to be?

You would however think that HU's would just come with 8v preouts (go ahead and call it a line driver if you wish) and be done with it. That's where the line driver needs to be.

As far as gear currently in production, I like Pioneer right now until someone makes something better. The 2013 Pioneer line was pretty tuff, but the 2014 Kenwood line looks impressive, as does the 2014 Pioneer.

Re: How close does a line driver need to be?

Now talking specifically about the Elite amps, being a few db down is probably only the difference between your ears bleeding and your skull imploding. LOL The only instances I could see using line drivers on Elite amps would be if you had 2V preouts, or if you have to split the signal to multiple ...

Re: New Phoenix Gold Product Suggestions (Here We Dream)

6 12's would in all likelihood be louder though, if that's what you're going for, and they'd do it in the same enclosure space as a pair of 18's more or less. I'd split the difference and use four 15's myself though. With what's on the market now, and the amp you've got, they'd be Fi Team 15's fwiw.

Re: CES 2014 News

The 8" SX sub and it's 35mm P2P excursion is intriguing as hell though. Especially since it does it with 200 watts rms. If you think about it, the best mainstream 8's that are out there right now are the Sundown SA8 and the Alpine Type R. Both of those subs are that or less in excursion, take ...

Re: Amp Construction Question

Not really. The amps are 23.3" x 10.5" x 2.6". If you line them up 2 x 2 you'd have 46.6" x 21" x 2.6". If you line them all up side by side, leaving the controls exposed on both ends, you have 23.3" x 42" x 2.6". You could also conceivably stack them, an...

Re: Amp Construction Question

How big is The One? My thought, and it's really a dream, nothing I'll be pursuing imminently, is The One has it's own look to it, nothing really matches it, but it needs other amps to drive the full range. If you took a pair of Elite.4's or perhaps a .4 and .2, put them in the same chassis, and styl...

Well, yeah, but it doesn't make 4000 watts on the sub channel. :D

I was actually looking at doing an 8 channel and an 8000 watt sub amp. Or perhaps even all four in one chassis some how. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

I was looking at the board shot on this 8 channel Audison amp, and it looks to me like it is just 2 four channel amp boards in the same case, and the power connections are just jumped to the second board. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TRU-TECHNOLOGY-SB8-S-CAR-AUDIO-8-CHANNEL-1200W-RMS-SUPER-BILLET-AMPLIFI...

Bridged (read mono) typically doesn't usually have the same frequency response as stereo operation. I'd go with the M100 myself.
