V.2 eliminated the switches, had a revised PS and fan control board, as well as the 7 blade fans.

How many blades are on your fans?

There was a huge problem with counterfit Toshiba TO3PL transistors back in the day. These are the same units PG has used in their output stage in the MS, ZPA, and ZX amps. They were basically good for half of Toshiba's rated power.

i would ask roland if u can upgrade to 4700Uf @50v, instead of the 25v??????????? Increasing the voltage rating will not accomplish anything, and just make the capactiors too large to fit in the case. He can get 5600uf at 25v in the same size from Digikey. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m91/jam...

Power Supply capacitor replacement, an alternative technique

Far too often I see damaged amplifiers from improper repair. Here is one effective method to replace the rail capacitors in your PG amps without lifting traces on the PCB. Starting with a $37 eBay special ZX350v.2: 1. Get a pair of pliers and rip the leaking bastards right off of the board: (Notice ...

I concur. If this really is a free market, we should let the market run it's course and collapse any aging giants that cannot stand on their own. Sounds good until you realize that the government would in one way or another have to still support the millions of people that the failure of the "...

Resistors are not polarized, and the daughter board is soldered in. You can put the resistor in either way.

IMO if the components are 4ohms, the M50 is most likely not enough amp. That does depend somewhat on the power going to the subs though.

Don't make any modifications to your amp until you fix the dead channel. No bias LEDs = no output from that channel. You have some troubleshooting to do. An unmodified 0.5 can thrash that 600w RMS sub. You will probably kill it in short order with it working and modified.

Judging by it's toughness and resistance to abrasion, I would say it is powdercoat.
