I'd aim around 1-1.25cuft, which is pretty much standard for 90% of sealed 12's. At most 1.5cuft if you want to extend the low end, but then you'll probably want a lower crossover setting and reduced gains.

In general, sealed are better in every way except for overall output. With 4 subs on 1600w I don't think you will find it lacking in a sealed setup, and you will cut the box size in half.

Powering the 6x9's off of the headunit should be fine, since they need to be much quieter than your front speakers for the best sound quality.
