Re: Two MPS-2500 under the back seat

Did you brace your door panel at all for those speakers? Otherwise it looks good!

Re: And So It Begins.........Again...

Elite is going to need a double stack of 3/4 MDF or 1" at bare minimum! It's a fucking monster!

Re: What am I going to improve?

The R1 should be perfect for metal/rock music. You'd want the Ti for anything deeper... electronic, rap, etc (while still being amazing on metal/rock).

Re: What am I going to improve?

The R1 is great for the money, and so is the Ti2! You definitely don't need more power to run the Ti2 sub... I have mine on 250 watts and it is just great! My install has a Ti500.4 amplifier powering Ti components in the front and an RSD competition subwoofer, bridged on the rear channels. My rear d...

Re: What am I going to improve?

Cool car! I didn't know Argentina had its own Fords! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Falcon_%28Argentina%29#1966 The R1 sub is decent. Very loud on little power, a bit more biased for high range bass. Personally I like the sound of the Ti2 series the best, or the RSD Competition series if you can ...

Re: ported VS seal

Ok thanks, I always had ported box and I don't want to loose that deep bass feeling. In a sealed box does every driver need to be in its own seal chamber? No, but the bracing that you add to separate them doesn't hurt either. Since you are running two separate amps I'd probably suggest separating t...

Re: ported VS seal

I'd aim around 1-1.25cuft, which is pretty much standard for 90% of sealed 12's. At most 1.5cuft if you want to extend the low end, but then you'll probably want a lower crossover setting and reduced gains.

Re: ported VS seal

In general, sealed are better in every way except for overall output. With 4 subs on 1600w I don't think you will find it lacking in a sealed setup, and you will cut the box size in half.

Re: What am I going to improve?

Powering the 6x9's off of the headunit should be fine, since they need to be much quieter than your front speakers for the best sound quality. If it's a small car (two door) you are best with no rear speakers at all. If you get the SD800.5, I would suggest bridging the front and rear channels to the...

I hope you're installing them in stereo in the front, otherwise you are going to draw the soundstage to the back of the car and cause cancellations with the Elite. Not ideal.

Re: Hey new to PhoenixPhorum, looking for knowledge and pals

What amp were they planning for the sub? Or are they running the rear speakers off of the headunit, and the sub bridged on the rear amp channels? That's what I would recommend anyways... Ti comps on the front channels, sub on the rear, 6x9's on deck power (and faded out completely when you have no b...

Very strange place for an amp to get hot... nothing but crossover and capacitor under your circled areas.
