Ottawans here?

I found a craigslist bargin: but he dun' wanna do bidness wit' me - or at least that's the way it feels. So, I've found another QX900.1D, that's a tad more expensive, but it's in Ottawa. There's also a QX 90.2 for cheap... so I'm going to call and see what the story is on these. Mails enquiring are ...

thing to remember is: Camera bodies come and go, good glass lasts forever. If your looking at buying into a camera set up, look past the camera body and pay more attention to if the lenses you desire are avaiable. Wouldnt be a good thing to buy a DSLR a few lenses then start looking at Nikon or Can...

.... I spoke too soon. There are now three marks on the near-side rear wheel. Since I washed the car yesterday, I know they weren't there when I got home last night.. and there are no curbs at work. <sigh> I normally drive, we both drive each other's cars, I drive other people's, too, when I have to...

.. mine managed to scrape four of five spokes when we first came down, before we moved here. Since then, so far, it's been no problems. Gave me a good excuse to polish the wheels, too :) She has, however, managed to scratch two of her own alloys, one of which is pretty heavy - and that's on 205/55R1...

same settings, just now on the external XO. You shouldn't need much below 2.5kHz on the tweeters, if anything it ought to be higher than that. But: trial and error is the order of the day.

Maybe some test tones, but music is very valid to test results.

thanks! Ah yes, I ought to talk about the rest of the system: Seas ER18RNX mids, 27TFFNC/G tweets and a CSS SDX10 sub. Cabling by DLS. Source CarPC, via a Terratec Phase 26 USB with some fancy software doing XO and routing. Mids, when I decide to go three-way, will probably be Vifa TG9s. You won't g...

Thanks. Yes, I would, especially if you have any old Pentax SLR lenses lying around. The old glass fits and works well, apparently. This is a bit longer than I wanted, but.... I use mainly a 50mm Macro lens now, the kit lens isn't too hot. Swap it for a 16-45 at purchase if you can. Shake reduction ...

Bfowler: I don't know. I've just sent a mail to find out if it's sold yet, where it is and that stuff. Would be excellent if it works out.... let's see. I'm aware that the SQ isn't optimal. OTOH, I have a space problem and there's always improvements to be made. I also want the optics and am prepare...

and now it gets worse. There's a QX900.1 on craigslist for a very small fee. That would give me the power I need at a silly price... but it's in Washington state and I'm in Northern Europe. that would also look extremely good - a 900.1, then a 150.4, a 90.2 and a 100.2 all laid out nicely below my n...

.. isn't there a vent to the outside world somewhere in the trunk? I know there is in my car... behind one of the trim panels. If you suck air through a simple filter, you won't get *that* much, but if you ventilate out to the other side, there's at least movement.

.... and an M44? There's one in the 'Bay in Germany with serious scratches (which is very, very annoying)... but at least for the moment, it's still cheap.

Tis are unfortunately out of budget at the moment. They would also force me to raise the floor some... hmm... decisions, decisions.

Hello... and directly some questions :)

Hello. I'm impressed. A great selection of info is available here... and I was looking for some ideas. I hope you guys can help :) I'm running at the moment a two-way + sub, actively, in the car. Now, I was looking for matching amps (at the moment an old Signat and a DLS CA41), and came across vario...
